Thank you for posting this! I was thinking about the running board options and you posted this video! You're the best and my favorite salesman on RU-vid! ✌😄💛
Man I was researching running boards for my newly purchased 2021 4runner Nightshade and my dude Toyota Jeff comes up?! Nicely done. Would you happen to know of the Predator Step Bars are compatible with the 2021 Nightshade? Asking for a friend 😎
Hey Jeff, I just want to let you know I bought a "21" TRD Pro 4runner at Toyota Kendall, Miami. Your Videos provided me with enough "Fun" detailed information to make a confident purchase. Thank you for what you do!!!
My 4Runner came with the predator step bar and I don’t like it. I’m looking for something lower profile that doesn’t hang down too low and stick out too far. I don’t really use the step to get in and out but my wife and kids do.
The Traditional black step boards look cleaner and more custom for the Base SR5, the black crushed oval step boards look like a cheap universal fit Amazon purchase 1:45 Chrome edge for Limited And Predator for TRD PRO 2:40
Great video guys. I.2ish I had seen it before I had my dealership install the Predators. The problem is that they used the smaller bolts that were in the body and not the beefier ones provided with the Predators. I wouldn't have realized this if I had not watched your video. I cannot find the parts number for that bag of 12 bolts. Would you know what the parts number is? Thanks a lot, Joe
Hey I have a 2019 Camry XSE two tone pearl white black roof. Is the roof painted or vinyl wrapped. I can see a line on the inner groove of the roof which makes me believe it is vinyl. Just wanted to know because I plan on waxing my toyota camry xse 2019 and I dont want to wax vinyl!
Are the chrome edge step boards on the Limited any lower than on the SR5? My wife is 5'5" and the step on the SR5 put her up too high but I think it would be a climb without them. What do you think? Thanks!
oh gosh...I'm about the same as your wife...having a really tough time with bruising getting out, and strained some muscles climbing in. My husband is putting on the boards soon, but I'm thinking they'll just make it MORE difficult to get in and out because once you step up, you're too high up. What did you guys end up doing?
I have heard multiple answers to this question. I just bought a 2020 SR5 Prem and I need to install running boards. I like the black Night Shade boards and some dealerships will tell me that they will only fit the Limited and others will tell me that they will fit all 2020 4Runners. Do you have the real answer to this? Thank you
The running boards on my 2000 4Runner looks better than any of these. If you look back, the boards were seamlessly connected to the body with no gaps. This just looks like an after thought. Also disappointed that Toyota kept the projection headlights instead of going with the LED's, which has been the standard light for years in most cars. There is a long list of complaints about the headlights on the 4Runner, regarding lighting ability, and I am kinda shocked that they put the same crappy lights in a ( new ) 4Runner that everyone has been waiting for. The Tacoma has LED lights so I'm not sure what they are thinking.
I’m a big fan of the 2020 4Runner. I like the addition of Toyota Safety Sense and also Android Auto and CarPlay are things people have been asking about for years...
I`ll wait for December sales, the 2019 models will go down the price and you can make a great deal, who cares about the 2020 android/apple auto or front camera and shit like that if you can get the 2019 way cheaper then 2020...,i`m waiting for the trd off road deals... ;)
02:10 - With the Predator Step Bars definitively will be a problem - you will break/bent or scratch them or even worse by damaging the body on the first couple of miles on an offroad trail. These step bar is a big disadvantage. Even for many other running boards will be a problem. Considering what this vehicle was meant for by design from Toyota - for off road. So those step bars are for "mall crawlers" or for show off in the city "look at me". Another reason not being so practical - when you'll get out of the 4Runner your foot won't step on these Predator bars. You will step aside these bars. These bars are placed too much in the front. A running board will be much better. Also not safe for kids - there have been cases when kids got their foot stuck into these Predator step bars. So make your own conclusions.
Don’t like any of the running boards, if I was to put anything on my 2021 4 runner it would be real rock sliders that would provide protection , unlike the running boards which would crush or tear off... Looks like your dealership likes to put running boards on as a dealer mark up item...
