bruh is this just never gonna end? people keep being influenced to make bad decisions. I hope you all get horrible infections so you realise how dumb it is to pierce yourself. especially if it’s not even with a piercing needle. you’re still creating forced trauma. what you’ve done there is stab yourself, not pierce.
As a person who is deathly afraid of needles for no reason whatsoever, I actually did my left ear. I'm shaking from fear lol but honestly it didn't hurt at all, there's a bit of throbbing a few minutes after. But I honestly felt absolutely nothing-
@paul5star665 Yes just hold it there for 5 minutes and do it. Stop being a pūssy bruh. Get it over with, make sure you buy or make saline tho. Mine got infected a week and a half after because I slept on it and only used soap and water, you need saline for that. Dont sleep on it, and use saline.
I did this earlier, it doesn’t hurt if you numb it with ice, btw boiling the safety pins is important. Make sure to use an eraser too makes it easier to push it thru. However I’d leave the safety pins in for a few days before removing them.
@@kmilla9998 As long as you boil the safety pins, use rubbing alcohol to clean your earlobes and clean the piercing regularly you prob don’t have anything to worry about :)
I just did this on a closed piercing. It really helps to do it literally right after you take the ice off. I didn't even notice that it went through really. Good luck to everyone and I really hope it goes well 👍
It took a hot minute for me to get it in but it did work it was also pretty painless but thats coming from someone who has a higher pain tolerance would totally recommend
@@leonorbaptista2342 not exactly I did it 3 times two times on my right ear and once on my left and I already had two holes on both ears originally but it came out fine for me (I hope that helpful and makes sense)
Just did it. Piercing didn’t hurt much, the ice was really helpful and the only thing that sort of hurt was taking the needle out and putting the stud in🤙🏼
i tried to do it yesterday without the ice and i poked it halfway thru and chicken out. tn i tried again and numbed it with the ice for 5 minutes and it helps 100%!!!! literally did not hurt at all going through, just a little discomfort. after taking the needle out i had trouble putting in the actual earring because my hands were shaky and that part hurt a little. but i’m so happy with it!!!! def recommend
I did this when I was 14, with a random safety pin that I found in my mom’s dresser, some hydrogen peroxide, a random earring from my jewelry dresser, a sharpie, and I don’t even remember what I put behind my ear to make sure it didn’t go through my head. Somehow this piercing never got infected and I still have it to this day. I also remember sticking a needle through my ear for fun at 12 and I did five piercings with a safety pin two of which I have today because I let the other three close up. One of the ones I let close up was a cartilage piercing that hurt a lot after I decided to take it out the next day because I couldn’t hide it from my mom. Never got infected. The only one that got infected was the one that was done with a gun and it didn’t get infected until I decided to try to put a tooth pick through it to stretch it. The infection cleared up on its own. It’s crazy how many times I’ve put random needles into my body and never got infected. If you’re wondering if it hurts. No. It’s more just like an intense heat going through your ear. You don’t even need ice. However, I’m not going to recommend it to anyone because of course I was just lucky and there’s a big risk for infection or getting tetanus from using random noodles and putting them into your body.
Pierced my upper earlobes on both sides today using this method, I can update you guys in a few weeks or a month, but so far there were no complications 1 month update: I've been taking care of them and they're healing well !! after almost a year: they healed perfectly fine
@alexiscoolerthanyou I'm not sure tbh. But one thing I can tell u is that if its going to be on your cartilage then just don't do it. Doing it on the earlobe is risky enough but cartilage is even worse. I'm not an expert so I can't tell you, just do it at your own risk
I did this and this is the best experience of my life, I'm definitely going to try to do a second piercing by myself again! Thank's for this video!❤❤❤❤❤❤
I honestly thought this was a bunch of bologna, but after I used the ice to numb my ear there was no pain at all for me especially since I used the piercing stud instead of a safety pin. Still got the same result. This video really did help
i did this about 4 months ago and my ears are totally fine also i'm really sensitive to pain and my ears did not hurt at all when i pierced them. the ice really helped a lot. they only hurt afterwards, so i just kept ice on them to help numb them
Im gonna do this! Edit: I did it. It didn't really hurt at all, it felt like you were pinching your ear! I got my first done at a piercing place and i think that hurt more! It turned out pretty good :) I used mis match earrings tho since i didnt have a matching pair, i used a smaller stud and a bigger stud. I found another smaller one and tried to put that one in but the actual pointy bit on the earring was thick, i think it was for a cartilage piercing. Edit 2: Its been about a month now, no infection and healing nicely! Im gonna do my 3rd's, 4th's and 5th's by myself, but go to a professional for my cartlidge!!!
So this worked pretty well for me, i got my second piercing at the center but i was too lazy to go there for the third one and this method helped! Although it has a tiny infection but its okay cuz the second ones also did and i have to wait for them. Update: also pierced the upper part of my ear too! I feel more confident with those piercing. TY!
@@avrlx_x for 30mins later the place i just pierced was red and feeling hot. But after that it was okay. And then it hurt a little ( it doesn't bother at all) and until some days it hurts when you touch around it, which is normal and the same as the ones i got from clinic. Just dont forget to wash ur ear with water and soap every morning and disinfection it with alcohol, and dont remove the earring untill 6 weeks( the man in clinic gave me these tips)
Don't wait 15 to 20 minutes, pierce it then take the needle out slowly and put the earing in there's no point in waiting 15 to 20 minutes your just making it worse by keeping the needle in for that long it will irritate your piercing
I just did mine, the exchange from needle to piercing stung quite a bit but otherwise it's fine. I only pierced my earlobes but I was wondering if the same method could be used on the top of the ear for a helix for example?
@@LiterallyAllNamesAreTaken Well, Not everyone can afford it and people are gonna do it regardless so... 🤷 Also you replying to every comment is useless they're here to do it themselves not listen to you 😂
@@Asia-zl8jb if you can’t afford it, you have much bigger problems. my piercings cost as little as $15 for a singular earlobe, $25 for both earlobes and up to $35 for cartilage/nose. piercings are a WANT, not a need. you can live without them. and quite often than not, a DIY piercing ends up costing you loads more on medical bills (and mental trauma) when you get infections or other complications occur. a lot of people also end up going to a professional anyway to get it fixed or done properly. and telling me my comments are useless is in itself useless when you remember that “influence” exists. 🤡 if kids are influenced by this video, kids can be influenced by my comments. it works both ways. ✌️if people are going to do it regardless then it’s better they know the risks instead of thinking that it’s completely safe just because there’s a wikihow video.
Anyone else just take a random needle they found in their house, sit in front of the mirror, and slowly push it in my ear like I did when I was 12? Ironically the piercing that I got professionally done is closed now and my piercing is still useable.
I did this last night I had a little trouble getting the ring in but over all I felt no pain but the after math is your going to have a sore ear I’m leaving the pin in for a couple days before putting in a ear ring hope everything goes well for you guys❤
Update I was able to change out the needle an put a earring in the best method to heal it is hands down warm Salt water my ear is basically fully healed at this point I can flick my ear around an feel no pain my first comment was posted 8 days ago btw
Final update my ear is fully l healed i feel no pain when i lay down or anything make sure to use warm salt water to heal it fast i thought i was going to get a ear infection but my ear was just very itchy an sore that’s all apart of the process over all i recommend this video bye guys❤️
I did it! I just really recommend to keep safty pin for 15-20 minutes , I removed it immediately and tried to put the earring in but I couldn't and had to start all over again , but it was worth it.
Not pain at all with the ice. And it was hard to get it inside but I didn’t feel anything. Don’t be scared for real even if it is hard to get it inside! Thanks! ❤ UPDATE : CLEAN YOUR EAR OFTEN TRUST ME. MY EAR IS BAD CAUSE I DIDNT KNOW IT. but i'm taking some medicine right now. So yeah be safe
I did it tonight, I used hydrogen peroxide instead, and so far it’s working (I’ll update later) mine hurt but only as if was pinching. Btw the video says it goes in, in one quick action but mine didn’t, it took a couple tries between sticking the needle in and ice-ing it (cause I’m a wimp and you are supposed to insert right after taking the ice off and I waiting a minute, so my fault) but so far so good!! Cute
@@Dew_dropp btw It’s been 13 days since I did it and it’s not infected yet ^^ TIP: get a spray bottle and hydrogen Peroxide and just spray the front and back of the hole. Every morning, every night until ur sure it’s all the way healed, I’d say abt 3 and a 1/2 months ^^
@@EllliEXOX0 AHHH TYSM I just did the first ear and it was kinda hard to get the safety pin through but it worked pretty well! Hope the healing process continues to go well for you🫶
I did it and it didn’t pain just rubbed the ice for a long time it will not pain then… sure you can go for it…coming it from a low resistance pain person :))
@@freydis2751 whether by yourself or a professional, don’t get more than 2 piercings. your body will thank you. the more you get, the slower each one is going to take to heal. I’m sure you don’t wanna be going on 4 months with sore ears when lobes can take as little as 8 weeks.
I was bored at 1am and piercing my second lobes. At first I tryed with a saftey pin but when I took it out it closed up as the needle is small. So I decide to just use my earings. I pierced both ears in less that 10 minutes (as you have to clean after each step) with no ice or any type of numbing and my ears didn't bleed all and had no pain. It's now the day after and there is no sign of infection or swelling :)
@@682domthadon my ear lobes were a bit puffy/ swolen for the first few days (which is normal) but now its starting to go down. I'll give an update in like 2 weeks bc it's a bit early to see results x
@@readyainefire9706 after 2 weeks I noticed that there was swelling coming back up so I took them out and they were swolen and full of puss bc I didn't used sterilised earing and the earings i used had rusted in my ears due to the exposure. Please please please don't pierce your ears with earing for shops like clairs or any regular shop, using a lighter or sanitising it is not enough as this earing is going into an open wound and can end you in serious trouble (worst case is losing your whole ear) I ordered a 6 pack of sterilised earing of amazon for less that 5 pounds and 3 weeks later and they're fully healed no swelling!
Just sent it w a safety pin, couldn’t get an earring to go through without it sliding around so I just used a safety pin that I poured rubbing alcohol on. I’m gonna change it after soaking this earring in alcohol and after I’m gonna pour poroxide on it for a day to kill off any bad bacteria and infection along w the skin n stuff lol
For all of yall after you have pierced your ears: Use povidone iodine solution to clean your ears after the first day. It is much better than using saline solution and quickly heals the piercing site without the swelling stage. Also do not play with the new piercing by twisting it for a week or two to avoid infection.
its not your last option. piercings are a WANT not a NEED. if your parents said no to taking you to a professional, its best you accept that. most people who pierce themselves dont end up liking their piercing several years down the line. and for so many reasons. whilst if you watch youtubers who’s main content is piercings and they make videos helping people, or trying on jewellery, you’ll find none of them did piercings themselves.
I pierced mine with a syringe and trust me I didn't feel anything, and syringes are sharper and easier to pierce your ear with imo. I also put a potato under my ear lobe while we pierced it in, it really helps
Man, I am not afraid of pain at all, but I am very, very afraid of infection, even if I sterilize it. I am torn between piercing it and not piercing it due to infection. What is your advice to me? Will it cause infection?@@Upliftalex
Just did mine, it’s not as bad as you think you just kinda have to brace yourself and just PUSH😂. I just kept the safety pin in because when i tried to put the earring in it wouldn’t go through, so i just pushed the pin back through and left it. i’ll update in a few weeks or month and tell how it heals!!!
So basically I did my helix like this but with a sewing needle. Now, I used a needle which was too big. I did not do it in a quick motion because I was struggling. I finally got it through waited a little bit, and took it out which was honestly the most painful part. I switched to an earring and that didn’t hurt at all. I think I should’ve moved quicker when I used an ice cube. This was yesterday. Now today I will be doing a second earlobe piercing on the same ear. I’ll use a smaller needle this time and directly do it after removing the ice cube. I’ll update ya’ll ✊
Please for the sake of hygiene do not do this. First and foremost a safety pin is not medical grade, stainless nor hollow. A piercing should be performed with a hollow needle where possible so you are cutting out a chunk of skin and not simply stretching it apart which will 1 hurt more and 2 take longer to heal. If you are stuck in a pinch yes it will work however the easier method is to follow all instructions except use a cannula needle instead. The actual needle can easily be removed giving a hollow plastic tube which you can then use to feed the new jewelry and not metal which most likely will react to the oils on your skin and the minerals in your blood. Rule of thumb: if you wouldn't let a doctor put it directly into your bloodstream... Don't put it through your own body. As for the cork or eraser I'd suggest just get two forks and put one either side of the desired lobe and use them to stabilise the ear over just giving it something to go into that isn't sterile, remember the pin will be going through your blood and if it's been inside something unsterile that's now entering your body now too. Also don't rush a decision like this. Take your time and make sure it's what you really want because a changed mind may well be permenant scars as a reminder later.
Studied this video for weeks, followed every step exactly, and somehow the hole closed as soon as the safety pin was removed. I tried twice and it closed both times. I F'ing quit; going to Claire's
Im 11 years old i am sitting here commenting witha needle in my ear my parents have no clue i barely felt a thing i will update later!!! EDIT 1: the earring is in my ear now time for the second ear❤. EDIT 2: I did the second ear all went well it bled a little bit when I tried to put the earing in but it's because I made a new whole with the earing bc the needle hole was too small I cleaned it up with rubbing achohole and it does not really hurt at all. I do not have a channel but if you wanna see the results I will post one video and you can come look.❤❤❤❤❤❤ EDIT 3: I told my mom when she picked me up from school today she was quite chill about it and she was like " your gonna send me into an early grave😂😂" it looks good tho. Does anybody have any suggestions of what to clean it out with?
i used a thumbtack and i did a double cartilage, i just used rubbing alcohol on the tack, earing, earring back, and my ear itself. pretty painless i’d say 3/10
so i did pierce my both ears and now only im seeing this vid after piercing and i did with a embroidery needle and just used sanitizer on the needle. A little bit of blood only came and this is my first day idk i will get infection an am pretty scared rn of getting an infection .
I just pierced my ear. Thanks for the advice!! But there's a tinyproblem. It's just when remove the safety pin and put on the earring, i found out that is the pierce's not piercing well so I start over the process wit earing Sooo, I believe that you need to pierce your ear with your earring is more practical. BTW my ear is burning a little bit maybe bc i didn't put alcohol and enough ice as well on it so be careful and don't you be scared dude !!
@@kidcore7640 it’s forcing an object through your flesh. what are you expecting? especially when doing it wrong bc you’re doing it yourself. I get my piercings done by a professional now and they barely hurt. THIS is going to hurt a lot.

I did it and missed like a lot for example I didn't have a cork and I didn't have gloves and I used a kettle to boil the pin. It hurt like hell to get it in because I was slow and scared but I got it in finally. I hope it doesn't get infected
just did it aswell sharped a earring, just put in hot water, disinfected everything, they feel just like my normal ear pierings, ear hurts a little afterwards, but that's because i was pulling on my ear alot, but i have a low pain tolerance. now o have double ear piercings :D

it wprk actually...but at first i didn't perfect it until 3rd time of putting safty pin to my ear, i realize that it would be easir, if i use earring instead of safety pin but over all its fine and really good asf.
I just want to tell y’all that when I did this every thing seemed good at first I did the hole and it didn’t hurt at all then I kept the safety pin in my ear for 10 mins.
