Fantastic! I make 3 wick rectangle candles with palm wax using an aluminum mold. The piping was such a great idea and because I work with palm wax so much it hadn’t occurred to me to use the pure soy for decorative purposes. I will be now really appreciate it thanks for sharing.

Thank you. I just love the palm pillar wax and the beautiful crystalized affect is has. Natures Garden hit it out of the park when they formulated this wax. There are so many options of candles to make- just not enough time. I plan to try out other waxes to pipe with and see how they perform. The soy 464 was simple. Loved it. The joy wax was so easy to work with as well. Send in pictures when you pipe something. I love to gain inspiration from all of you.

Hi! Typically, we use a 10" piping bag. The brand of bag we use can very. When making candles though, I do prefer a heavier or thicker plastic.

Hello , Its look gorgeous . I want to try it. But I have a question. Can I use soy wax for cake base ? there is no palm wax in my country :(

You can use a soy pillar wax for the base, Nature's Garden does not carry a soy Pillar wax. A soy base will not make the crystalline affect. Good Luck. Send our team a picture if you make it. Keep creating and inspiring-Janette🌺

How quickly do you need to work to make sure the wax doesn't harden before you're done? Will kneading the wax in the bag help keep it soft enough to work with?

you will have to work quickly depoends on type of wax used but can always reheat it and pipe again..take out of the bag of course..I make all my wax melts into items like this cupcakes truffles etc..for last 5 years alot of piping!..

I try to add the wax to the bag when it still is a little thinner than I need. As it sits on the counter it sets up a bit more. If you start with it very thick you may not have that much time. If your hands are warm the wax tends to stay at a good consistency. Similar to when you pipe frosting.

You will have to work fast. I also keep bowl of warm water and a Ziploc bag. If the tip clogs, I place my piping bag in he Ziploc and place the Ziploc in the the warm water just to soften it slightly.

Hi! When using the 464 soy wax, the fragrance should be added at 185F in this case. When adding fragrance oil to Joy Wax, the fragrance oil should be added at around 175F. Let me know if you have any other questions. Have a fabulous day! <3 Melissa NG

Hi! It sounds like a timing issue. You may need to get it in the piping bag a bit sooner so the wax is a bit softer. <3 Melissa NG
