I like a medium consistency. If it's too soft the petals won't hold up, but if it's too firm you kill your hand and wrist. This almost looks too soft? Just add like 2 tbs of milk to your batch of frosting, take a little out and test a rose. If it's too firm add 1-2 more tbs and try again. That's what I do with my recipe anyway.
