+A Stark I wouldn't say 'better', but Marty from @bluelightningtv works at a slower pace. I've done quite a few of his tutorials and had fairly good success. I prefer the Plearn videos because he seems to do a lot more of what I'd like to do, but I'm just not good enough yet.
Hey phlearn, I love your guys vids and I was just wondering if you could a make a video about how to make a still image (gold image or any color )and liquefy it to the point to where it looks like it's dripping. It would help me out a lot.😀

Happy Holidays Phlearn! One thing I'd love to see more of in 2016 is some more free episodes that deal with different elements of photography (lighting, camera & lenses, photographing certain subjects). My favorite free episodes are the ones that are a series where we see an episode about a photo shoot, then the next two or three episodes are taking those shots into Photoshop to create an image (The Sin City image or the Corporate Headhots for example). Looking forward to more Phlearning in the New Year!

Instead of increasing the text-size, you can hit CMD+T (transform) an directly scale the text to you favorite size. Photoshop automaticly changes the text-size
PROBLEM WITH CHANNELS Hey guys i have one question for you , i was working on one logo ( just trying , nothing professional ) i made border for logo and i didnt know how to color it. I tried to select areas with channels , i did nothing with logo but fucked up channels.. Now my channel is only one its Gray.. every color that i set now is some shade of grey.. Can anyone help me , i hope that someone of you know something about layers.
when I add the solid color over the background, it also colors the Picture in the background behind the block lettering. Your's seems to only color the foreground. What's the fix? Thanks

Awesome tutorial. I know you probably get swamped with questions but how do you do this but actually apply a flat colour stroke or outer glow to the text. Whenever I try to do it the image that is used for the mask is also applied to the stroke/outer glow so you just end up with Bolder text. Thanks in advance!
I got lost at the step of putting my own photo into the steps. I've had more trouble doing this than anythign I've tried to learn so far. Not sure what i'm doing wrong. But I'm just lost. Normally I can figure out how to make things work ...but not today. Ugh!
Really, a 11 min video when you can just drag the image above the text, right click and go to clipping mask. Then easy lmao. Then hold ctrl and select the text and the image you used then do do ctrl+E
This is just my opinion, but maybe some constructive criticism too. I think you're focusing too much on the photoshop aspect of this channel. You always say in your moniker that you want to make photoshop and photography fun. I just think that this is severely lacking on the photography tutorials lately.
This does not work even close if your using the most recent Adobe Photo shop... there is no, zero, nada steps that even come close to anything that your even talking about. I find this the same thing for most learning shows that use apple. The new adobe 2016 doesnt even look like your screen.
hey phleam thanks for these series of good working i have a question related to text quality while i am save a document with resolutions of 620 pxl/inch or pxl/centimeter resolution and when i zoom in it lose it's quality and completely not good looking. how to fix this issue plz ty
Nice easy video to follow along with, I was doing this by rasterizing the text and then using the magic wand tool to select the inside of the text and copy/paste the image, but then I can't change the font like with this way, thank you!
A quick note! The audio could get better, it kinda sounds like when you're in a plane. Other that that the video is helpful, I'll try it and hopefully I get it to work
Hi phlearn, I once saw a nice black and white picture of a wedding couple. But only filled with words. They used something like a textportrait, but nothing similiar like the pictures i could find here or a nice tutorial in youtube, so perhaps a would be a nice one for a future tutorial.

? Phlearn once I create the text and the picture in the background of the letters , how do I move the whole setup together in other words I want to move the words and picture underneath I know control T moves whatever layer i'm on but to move both layers at the same time what do I do
