Can you please help me out? Following Wednesday Sep.3th my layout in Athens is from 5:30 pm untill 12 pm next. Do I have enough time too see Parthenon if I go straight from the airport? I could be there around 7pm. Do they have closing time? Thank you ❤
Awesome video! Thank you so much for making it. My wife and I will be visiting Athens in the last week of September for 6 days. Really looking forward to it. We'll be flying in from Canada.
Thanks so much, comments like this are so encouraging 😁 6 days is the perfect amount of time to explore, learn, and taste all the great good. Safe travels and I can’t wait for you to experience this great city!
Thanks Dee! Sounds like an amazing Greek islands cruise is coming up in less than 6 months 🚢 😁🎉 I originally wanted to visit via cruise (Mediterranean + Greek Islands Cruise) but as it turns out, we did the Mediterranean via cruise and Athens by land.
Thank you so much for your videos. Very good content. We've been using your videos to prepare for our trip to Athens and Santorini. Please keep them coming. 👍🏾
@FrolicAndCourage We are leaving April 29th. Our first destination is Santorini. We will be there for four days. Then we go to Athens. And thanks to your videos we know how we should get around and what to expect.
@hangin_with_the_elders that’s within the next two weeks - how exciting! First Santorini then Athens? What an amazing trip to Greece 🇬🇷 I hope you both have the best time and enjoy all that Greece has to offer 😃
Hey J! I don’t usually purchase SIM cards, but checkout Vodaphone, Cosmote, Wind, Airalo, and Orange for Greece coverage. The first three are the three major wireless Carrie’s in the country 👍🏽😊
Thank you, Anna 😊 I'm glad you found the video informative. If you have any questions or suggestions for future content, feel free to let me know! 👍🏽❤️
Happy to help and welcome to the F&C family! 😊🎉 You’re going to Athens the same month we did and I’m so excited for you! What are you most looking forward to seeing/doing in your trip?
@valeriegriffith3415 I’m so sorry to hear that, Valerie - I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers 🙏🏽 May the positive memories and love you have for your sister get you through these times ❤️
Yes traveling 4-5 days solo in second week of November. This is very helpful. Do you need a am international sim or esim to use google map or be able to use data search etch in Greece when you don’t have Wi-Fi ?
I love a good solo travel adventure! Yes, you need a sim or eSIM to access up to date information on Google maps. In the alternative, you could download an offline version of Google maps and it will still work, but it will not display real-time data.
Hi Aurora! Here's a relatively new one to check out: www.viator.com/tours/Athens/Steps-to-tradition/d496-404921P2?pid=P00050571&mcid=42383&medium=link&medium_version=selector&campaign=Athens As well as a more traditional studio: www.thisisathens.org/attractions/dora-stratou-dance-theatre Hope this helps!
Hello! This company isn’t on my radar for reputable companies (ex- Viator, Get Your Guide, Athens Walks, etc). The reviews I read appear to be inconsistent, so def do your research 🧐
Hey Jerome! There are many airline that fly from Amsterdam to Greece, but check out KLM or Aegean if you want to fly direct, non-stop. Coming from London it might make sense to visit Ireland first since it’s so close, but it all depends on your preferences, budget, and itinerary 🙂
Hi, I'm going to Athens in May. I'm going alone and have booked onto a few group tours. I hope I'll be ok and not the only lone traveller... Haha. I'm kinda regretting going by myself. What do you think?
Hey James! I think you’ll be just fine 😊 Group tours are a great way to meet people and learn more about Athens - culture, history, and food - and get great recommendations for what to see and eat from a local! I LOVE solo travel because you get to do what you want, when you want and follow your own interests. I’m excited for you 😁 Which tour are you most looking forward to?
@@FrolicAndCourage Thank you! Day 1 e-bike tour, day 2 food tasting tour, day 3 Acropolis, day 5 Philosophy walk & talk. I'm staying 7 days so will also check out a beach or two. And I'll be making sure to check out your vidz also 👍🙂
What a great schedule! The philosophy walk and talk seems like it will be an enriching experience 📚 Thankfully Athenians eat late so you might be at a cozy Taverna until the morning listening to live music or eating something delicious 😋
Hey EJ - I don’t have any rental car recommendations (we didn’t rent a car and it isn’t necessary if you’re only going to stay in the city), but if you do a quick Google search there are a lot of rental companies to choose from at the airport. Also, check out this great article by Santorini Dave: santorinidave.com/rent-car-athens-airport 👍🏽🚗
I am using Sixt. I never had issues with them in EU. I will go to Greece end of June and have booked a car with Sixt from Athens. A car is not recommended in Athens itself (parking issues).
Good job! My gf and I spent 3 days in Athens a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed it very much. It exceeded my expectations. I'm a cat lover, too, and enjoyed the furry residents.
Thanks Tim! Athens is such an amazing city and it exceeded my expectations, too! I'm sure that cats were so excited to meet (and interact) with you, too! 😊🐈
