So I glad I got my hands on this Rose of Sharon Sugar Tip from Proven Winner. This plant will look lovely in the back of my cottage garden and will give some privacy in the spring, summer, and until a late frost. I dug my hole with my Easy Dig Kit Power Planter Auger. The link is below. I also amended the soil just so lightly with the Land as Sea compost or what ever compost I have on hand. I also put some Biotone in the hole to help the roots develop and get a good start in this garden. Also found some beetles on my other Rose of Sharon and treated those beetles with Captain Jack Dead Bug. The beetles were gone the next day. They really did a number on my new blooms about to emerge.
The fire ants are also out in full force since we got 4 inches of rain from Hurricane Ian. I also treated these with Fire Ant Killer that kills the queen. These ants are tiny but sure do a hurting on you when they bite.
