I followed your instructions and the results were ace. Now, 2 years later I am going to plant the over wintered corms , some are 25cm diameter and the stalks were 3cm thick last year. The flowers were phenomenal! Apart from compost. I mix in a layer of manure, water once or twice a day and feed weekly.

That's fantastic to hear! Best of luck with your corms this year!

Thanks for the comment! That's it I'm afraid - we wanted to explain the difference between the corm sizes, when they need growing on where others are ready to go straight into baskets. We also used very damp compost, so there is no need to water until they start showing growth or when the surface starts to feel dry. They'll drink up the moisture themselves! Any further questions we would be happy to help you with! Thanks again.

I was and am surprised the corms are not to have soil over them, just placed on the top of it is all. I have done exactly what you said so fingers crossed now ^__^ and thank you for replying.

Hello. Thank you for the video. I currently live on Oahu, Hawaii and I love these flowers. I saw some very small ones in a nursery and didn't know they came larger. Is the warm/humid weather of Hawaii ok for these flowers or will they die? Also, can I start growing them in the basket or should I grow them in the pot first and transfer them??

Hi Jeff, I have been in touch with aqis and they said they are permitted into australia. I have been to the manchester branch and bought £40 worth of begonia tubers but some have a growing bud on how do I safely take them off without damaging the tuber. Best Regards Patricia

Hi guys, I’ve planted begonia tubers into hanging baskets (beginning of Feb)and covered with soil, left them In the garage. Is it ok to bring them into my back room (heating on) in a months time and would I need to keep the soil moist before planting out end of April (UK) Thanks

Thank you for the growing tips; in a lovely clean accent too! A couple of quick questions please. 1: Do you ship to India? (May need some certification, if you can provide it.) 2. About dividing the corms - Does that result is smaller or lesser flowers? I read big corms give smaller flowers; is that true? (I've planted corms that are about 7 to 10 cm in dia and about 3cm thick. Last yr they gave flowers about 15-16 cm across; hoping for the same or better this yr.)

Hi, have to re-iterate that it isn't advisable! But if you're determined, the best we can recommend is to seal them in a box with sawdust to prevent them from going off and try and keep them from touching to prevent spread between them. Make sure the hold they are going in won't drop below freezing as this will certainly kill them! We also would suggest leaving the buds intact. Again, we don't recommend this as we can't guarantee their quality! Hope this is helpful, good luck!

Hi Patricia, I'm afraid that isn't something we can advise you on. We only send out plants within the United Kingdom, this is something you would have to contact the customs office within Australia about. Sorry we can't be of more help, but thanks for getting in touch.

Hi Jeff, I got the begonia tubers and had a lovely patio for a few years but I think I will need new so my daughter is coming over to see us here in Brisbane. So I want to buy some and have them sent to her in the uk so she will bring them with her. What is the best time of year in the uk to buy I know most are now in the ground so I will have to wait until the next ones are ready to sell. best regards pat

Hi Glyn, sorry to hear you werre disappointed with your begonias this year. Some tips for growing the most beautiful begonias are: Water your begonia enough to keep the soil very slightly damp but never enough for it to be soggy and make sure to site your begonias where they will receive partial shade. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
