Are freesia seeds just as good? When to plant them. That soil looks very sandy.

Growing freesia from seeds take time for plant to grow and produce flowers, so it's always better to grow freesia from bulbs. Plant bulbs in the winter in moist, well-drained soils!

I pulled out some fresh freesia bulbs earlier. Some look "fresh" with roots intact, and a few with a husk-like outer covering. Can I plant the fresh looking ones with their roots or do I cut out the roots and allow the bulbs to dry under the sun before planting

Planting freesia corms with the right conditions and at the right time is the key for growing them successfully! @@OrganiCGardeningEnthusiast I realized the question I was thinking did not fully make it in the question. What I meant to say is I live in FL and it is June and I wanted to see if I could plant this now or should I wait until October?

@@GeniusatWork104 Keep in mind that Freesia grow best in cool, springtime temperatures (55 to 60°F), and may not bloom if temperatures rise over 70°F. You can plant freesia bulbs in spring when frost danger has past and the soil has warmed. GOOD LUCK!
