How to Plant, Grow and Care for GLoxinia Plant - Gloxinia is one of the best flowering plants for Spring season and here in this video you are going to find complete info - from planting the bulbs to flowering.

Hello Chandan I did plant as well they grew and somewhere down the line o noticed the stalk wasnt looking good and true enough it began to shown unhealthy signs not sure why this happened and I was indeed distraught but now noticed new growth and your video was timely and I am eager to see success.

@Monti Dutta, They are rarely seen...and so far I found only twice in Nurseries. Bit tough to handle in our climate and so not much popular..but truly Gorgeous :-)

I m glad to able to help n thank you so much for your feedback, much appreciated 😊 White fungus- please use 2 teaspoons of turmeric powder n spread over the bulbs. Or else you can use chemical fungicide such as SAAF(dose - 1/2 teaspoon in one liter water n then spray the bulbs). Hope that helps 👍

You are very fortunate. There is NO source for Gloxinia bulbs in my area and I doubt if there is a grower in my State of Georgia, US.

In my place as well, it's not much available like many other plants and so far, I spotted this beauty only twice in local garden center. @pema Lama, Ma'am, applying once a month would be more than enough. As they are not grown under direct Sun, they take time to grow and hence less frequent fertilizer as well. Good luck Ma'am :-)

Surely it can be saved. The bulbs don't rot that quickly. If the plant is already dead (top part) or looking very bad, simply dig out the bulbs and keep them in dry and shade area. After somedays, you can plant the same bulb again. Good luck!

In Daffodil you might get..but they don't stay available all the time. I bought the bulbs online (from SeednPots). Flowering starts from Feb-March onwards and it would depends when you plant the bulbs. In Summer, they bloom but size get reduced due to extreme hot weather. Best time to plant the bulbs is Nov-Dec (In our place) and that way, you can expect flowers within 90 days from planting. Thank you!

Bulbs… plant will die after flowering and the pot will seem as devoid of anything but the bulbs will grow on their own in the season

Your plants have single petal flowers but the link in your description says it's double petal gloxinia...

@Regina Dsouza, That's a good question...but honestly saying, container plant can't be compared with plants growing naturally. They grow under big trees and so get some protection. Same with African Violet, Flame violet plant...and in Nurseries as well, they stay well protected from rainfall. Not all time this happens, but better to protect the leaves. One of my African Violet is almost dead....because of too much rainfall...
