OUTSTANDING!! Thanks so much for this one. This will take me a while. 10 years ago I had the great privilege of being part of a small group that spent an evening with Brian in recording studio A at Capital Records in L.A. We sat in the control room and listened to him take us through the recording of every song on Pet Sounds. Next, four other musicians joined him and they played 5 or 6 songs for us, last was God Only Knows - it was magic. The evening finished with pictures and a signed copy of the Pet Sounds album - the real 33 1/3 recoding. One of the best experiences of my life.
Which freaked Brian out so much that if Macca visting him, he'd run to his swimming pool and hide under water. He believed that if he's already written the best song ever then what use is he now? Poor Brian. A true genius.@@PianowithNate
These are wonderful mate. Thank you. What I really appreciate most is the playthrough and beginning and end. I often find I need to jump into the song being played to get my head round a particular bit and I end up getting frustrated if the teacher doesn't play it through in their vids.
Hi Nate! I've been following your channel for a few weeks now. As a beginner piano player, I deeply appreciate your lessons. Thank you for doing this. If you're taking requests, I have 2 songs which I hope you'd do, as there aren't many good tutorials for these on RU-vid: 1) Grow Old With Me - John Lennon 2) Warm and Beautiful - Paul McCartney
Oh I will second the request for Saturday In The Park. Also wondering about Some Kind of Wonderful. A great crowd pleaser, get up and dance kind of song.
That was a great tutorial, as always! Could you make a video on "Saturday in the Park" by Chicago? It's a bit more complex, but it was one of the first songs that made me want to learn how to play the piano!
Brilliant! I'm new and learning your strawberry fields version. This is getting book marked for when I get better. thx. Btw, could you do a cover of 'Nobody home' by Pink Floyd off The Wall album please?
I love your amazing tutorials. They are easy-to-follow and user-friendly. I have learned so many great songs thanks to your Channel. Would you ever consider doing Maybe I'm Amazed by Paul McCartney
@@PianowithNate I second the request for Maybe I'm Amazed. I first heard The Faces do this song, and I still sort of prefer it (Ron Wood does better guitar work IMVHO), but McCartney's original is more amenable to piano solo play. Also, if you can work out the chords to Uncle Albert, I'd also be eternally grateful. Of course, not many people know that one.
hello Nate, so beautiful song of the beach boys and i wonder if for singing along so high it is possible to transpose the whole song to a lower key? By the way, this video of the song is in E or A, i guess in E maj.
Hi! Certainly, any song can be transposed into any other key. Doing so with this one would be on the painstaking side because it really doesn't stick cleanly into one key and is sort of constantly modulating. I would figure out how much lower you want it to be (i.e. 5 half steps) and just count down for the root of each chord in the song (making sure to keep the quality i.e. major/minor of the chord the same).
