[23:20] "Not like cats because they aren't cute and cuddly creatures... Creatures, still, though." You have to respect the honesty that drips from our favorite Dire Wolf. I wish you endless success in your Road to Rank 1 Climb!
Why did you not upload the loss? Was it a low quality game not worth editing and uploading? I personally like to see all matches on a climb series, even the losses.
imo it's just much more punishing if you roam off tempo, but if you push before moving/roam at good times it's still very rewarding. If you struggle a lot you probably just needa improve your roam timings (and knowing what a good roam looks like) or get better at laning so it's easier for you to get priority
not a fan of the zoom edits, they are better used for funny moments like missing cannons, not team fights where we want to see what you're seeing. gameplay and commentary were great. outro song was a good bit too loud also. thanks for the upload, looking forward to morianna
hey i've been waiting for a series like this, just really dont like the constant zooms, i'd rather see all the other info that gets cut out by the zoom (like the map, cooldowns so on)
Lux is so OP she E'd your brain before the game started. F in chat boys. Jokes about the minced words aside, banger video again. ggwp. Also the zoom ins. Lmfao. It's like a cartoon. PS: I make the "Free baron" call every game. My jungle runs mid and ignores it, every game.
arcane comet and w max is incredible for forcing enemy laners back to base or just applying pressure in general. 2 Q-W's end up taking like half their hp lol
Hi, I wonder if not going tear would not have made the game easier for you ? specially laning phase ? I feel like the times u missed the kill, u lacked just a bit of damage. I'm emerald, and everytime i go tear i feel like i do no damage. Also archange feels odd.. I don't want to buy HP early on. On the other hand, when i dont go tear (luden then shadowflame), i feel like my damage is way better. The downside is I need to back to base more often to get my mana back. At my elo I feel good doing this, because when i'm in base, it's time i can't die, so backing more often doesnt feel like a penalty (sometimes it's hard to find the good timing though, i try to get good recalls). My guess is my opponents dont punish me enough for being low mana because i'm emerald. Any thought about this ? Thanks for your content. It's great quality.
I think it's just a tradeoff, tear and archangel are better scaling but are generally weaker until you get to around 2.5 items or so. A lot of the time I do skip tear and normally I just decide based on how much gold I have when I reset
Amazing video and very insightful! 13:45 Not sure if it was just the Briar Q but Briar can also use her W during her Ult Berserk which is a small dash in any direction (think Lucian E) that can go through walls (after which she starts going Berserk). The W Berserk does not override her Ult Berserk but the dash + execute bite is still useful during her Ult.
13:40 ive had the same thing happen to me when i flashed over one of the thick mid walls, just after briar ulted me. It seems like she can follow u for a little bit after reaching u. I cant tell if she flashed in this clip but i dont think she did.
second question, why is tear considered must have on ori? at no point in this game did you go below 30% mana love this style of video btw, especially with ori. extremely informative ❤
Definitely not considered must have, you can go different items second if you want. It's kinda nice for the shield when you want damage but still want some defensiveness second. Tbh recently I've been moving away from tear just because the build path is so annoying (you see in this video, stuck on ruby/kindlegem for a long time)
lux/cait both have super high burst combos in this game also, if u fail to dodge the root you would guaranteed be dead without the shield (unless you build banshees) which is probably why shok says tear isnt always needed/best item, there are plenty other options it just has high ap good hp and the shield with mana/haste as a bonus
Ori has a smaller manapool than most mages both at lvl1 and at 18. Like, below 900 at lvl18 without items. That's really small for a Mage. Plus, she uses a lot mana in general, for stuff like W movement speed. With Tear she goes back to being even with other mages, plus her range is shorter than most and she wants to be close in general to hit her AAs during spell rotations, so being able to have some more defenses while building HP as well it's nice. It has kinda stopped being so essential over time, in particular R damage buff helps a lot imo, but even so she is a great user of the Seraph
hey nice video, have you tried Ori without tear?, against squishy comps is really good, you spike much faster and you dont need that much mana to get them low hp, i think tear is good against tanky comps, (liandry, seraph cdr boots and so) since riot lowered the mana cost a lot, you should try it, it feels really good
was it intentional that you broke the Freeze you had at 6:35 ? And again at 8:00 seemed like you could deny hear every cs and even experience until she ults
Don't think freezing is that valuable this point in the game, objectives/roaming/vision in river is starting to become more valuable imo. Freezing especially pre 6 is pretty broken but it's also pretty hard to deny CS from Lux since she's so long range and can just ult waves anyway. So TLDR I thought I'd get more by pushing.
@@ShokLeaguealright, thanks for the answer! would you maybe have frozen against other mages in that situation then ? or is denying a wave of two not worth the loss of a "turn"
I think it'd depend how much kill pressure I have/how much I can deny, for e.g. if I was Syndra vs Vel'koz I know my kill pressure is very high even if I can't deny that many creeps it'd probably still be worth freezing. A shorter range mage that can't roam (like cassio) would be the perfect champ to freeze against as well. Stuff like Lux/Azir/Xerath/Ahri that are either too long range or too safe I think I'd just push against
love this style of gameplay and commentary. i feel like my biggest issue is not being able to pay attention much to the map while trading and CSing because they take up so much of my attention, so it's impressive to me how smoothly you commentate and play at the same time.
