Bltzz you can also cast Arcane Ward on another ally, then have them spellcast twice then right afterwards, use Aerith to teleport her to her Ward using Ward Shift and then have her spellcast for extra damage. Plus its teamwork! Just prep 2 ATB bars for Aerith and 1 ATB for the ally’s spellcast for one continuous cannon-like blows. Thats another technique using Aerith’s Ward Shift :)

you can use synergy skills to call teammates to her. so you can warp aerith to the arcane ward, use bodyguard to call teammates over and both teammates can use the ward to double their spells while aerith uses synergy materia to bombard the enemy and then she can spend her ATB for her spells

One big tip is to use Cloud's Spell Blade synergy skill with Aerith to set up her ATB. You can actually release the skill pretty early in the animation (shortly after aerith launches fire at cloud's sword) and cloud will commit the attack EVEN IF YOU SWAP CHARACTERS. This makes the attack take significantly less player time commitment while keeping the benefit of huge damage and a full ATB bar for both cloud and aerith.

I don't have Rebirth yet (PC gamer), but no-one seems to be talking about Soul Drain's damage being significantly higher in Rebirth, based on various clips. Sorcerous Storm here is dealing 800 damage... based on that, Remake Soul Drain would be doing a bit under 400, but instead it's doing 666, so about a 75% increase. It's not the fanciest thing but it's actually pretty good, as it's a fast, free long-ranged attack.

I honestly feel like the game should just by default give you one ATB at the start of battle and the first strike materia shouldn’t even exist. If everyone puts it on all their characters anyway, then it shouldn’t even be treated like they’re giving you the option… it basically just means one materia slot is just never free.

You unfortunately don't get it until later (either Gongaga or Cosmo Canyon) but you can get a Speed Up Materia from the combat simulator. SPD affects how quickly your ATB fills passively, making it god-tier on Aerith once maxed out. I love how they basically gave her BLM's Leylines ability from XIV.

I Love the addition of ward shift! It's so satisfying to bait an enemy far away and teleport just as they attack so you have enough time to cast a high level spell without being interrupted + the arcane double damage.

Before the video starts: I played through some of the demo yesterday and went through the tutorials to get a better grasp on the new features and combat of the game. And Aerith... oh my god, she's actually got some offensive stuff that's not just spell-oriented, she feels so much better thanks to that amazing and absolutely DOPE Radiant Ward ability 😂😊

Her dash changes too when stood on Radiant Ward - longer distance and faster

One thing you could use in her arcane ward setup is using ward shift then bodyguard both members to Aerith’s side to get everyone with ATB to spend double casting at the same time for a full on magical assault

Is double synergy with both fire/ice and thunder/wind linked to them possible? Because then she would be perfectly set up for most fiend fights. :)

Spellbound Blast is her strongest spammable attack, as a Synergy Skill.

A good strategy with both ward is to position them far from one another like you did when you 1st show ward shift skill. You go into radian ward to boost attacks and build atb, then ward shift to arcane ward when the enemy gets close and you're ready for a cast. You let the enemies get close then ward shift again to the radiant ward. You go back and forth, letting the enemies chase you then and always be on the right ward to either build atb or cast magic

Aerith really is the strongest. For 90% of battles I feel like I'll always do better if she's there. Radiant Ward and Ward Shift are game changes.

How can I use Radiant Ward and Arcane ward with Aerith? I’m 60 hours in and can’t find it. Can you only use this abilities with specific weapons? I’m confused

Another great use of the body guard ability is to use it to bring a player to your ward to get the 2 x cast, I guess if you have synergy you could switch to them and get 4 casts for the price of 1 but I haven't got that one yet :P

Once i got Radiant Ward it was a game changer

Ive really liked red in combat you give him the titan summon vitally up provoke is good he tanks so well then hit vengance mode and does a 180 and hits crazy damage. I had that set up beat the mythril gollum at about 52% staggered judgment bolt and his level 2 limit plus full vengeance mode throw out a stardust ray and go to town it was sooooo satisfying. First time i felt i fully had a hold of the combat for a character

The Guard synergy abilities can be perfectly timed for perfect block, it's a little tricky to get the timing. Right now I can only do it on accident.

Aerith it's so cracked she shred enemies to pieces

So what's with the small ball of light that sometimes surrounds Arith. Not fleeting familiar, not a regen, mana wall, barrier or a debuff etc. It's a ball that I can't find a reason for. Sometimes it's blue/white sometimes yellow/red... what is that!? Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

I just got to Cosmo Canyon in my playthrough (Gongaga was so brutal to navigate it took me all day). As good as pairing an elemental spell with Synergy materia is, I bet it'll be real devastating paired up with Comet materia.

Radiant ward is definitely a must on her. She can dash much further with in it.

Aerith's Synergy with Barret where they both throw on sunglasses and she uses her staff as a minigun is the best ability in the game.

Bodyguard is best used to bring the party to her ward for double spells, rather than running and wasting stagger time. Switch to her teli to her ward if she's not on it, body guard both members switch to one and double cast 2x followed by her 2x double synergy swap again repeat then use her own 2 atb stacks will nuke any boss even hard mode (with fully stack magic users)

Can't wait till this comes to PC so I can play (and mod it) myself. I really think that she's got some great Synergy with Red though. Since the AI will focus the character you're controlling far more than the other two, this made playing as Aerith pretty bad in Remake with her terrible "dodge". Being able to control her and then pull Red in to Cover you means you can play as her, build his Vengeace meter, and then go beast mode (pun intended) with Red. The extra mobility with the teleports is also great but being able to teleport to your ward from any range AND pull the other characters there to dump ATB into magic attacks with a 50% boost seems ridiculously good. Especially if the Synergy+ATB ward swap extra cast trick from Temake still works. It's got me seriously considering maining Aerith with the new Radiant Ward. The ATB generation of her attacks inside it seems insane. Stacking that with Arcane Ward and she'll be able to dump MP into spells like crazy, staggering enemies, then grab it all back with Soul Drains. Not exactly doing insane damage during the stagger windows but being able to get there fast for a stunlocking kind of build (and being invulnerable whilst casting in it is a great bonus). I was thinking about stacking those two wards and maybe having ATB Ward off in the middle of nowhere might be an idea to use it for a teleport escape...but from what I've read it just increases everyone else's ATB when Aerith fills up an ATB charge without taking any away from her, so maybe having all 3 stacked up to create a Boss Buster Bunker might be an OP play. Tifa losing the ATB refund on Focus Strike is a big loss, and as much as I'm going to enjoy playing her, it does hurt the CAT party combo. So maybe replacing T with DOG instead so he can Bodyguard, building Vengeance Mode, have Aerith unleash magic to pressure enemies, have Red go vengeance mode to turn that pressure into a stagger, really might be the play!

Have you found an issue with the jules training quest. I can't hit the burst whenever I try it stops I can press the button further

Hey blitzz can you please find out whether dynamic mode will scale enemies down to your level if your underlevel or do they only scale up when your overleveled.

Aerith always stay on the team. Yuffie is tough too. All the character combat is well designed.

I need to set aside time to watch this. Im still in earlyish game, 31% done. But Im not having as good of a time with Aerith as i did in the Remake, her ATB is incredibly slow compared to everyone else and once i switched to Barret for support the game got a whole lot easier.

Everybody is so sick in thia game. Constantly switching my party out. I love it! My only complaint is more beefy enemies to wail on. Im only in junon though No one has dethroned Tifa yet though..her synergies are so epic. and dolphin flurry FTW!

Radiant ward is cool but I'm not a huge fan of Aerith in this game tbh, the most use I got out of her was the spellblade synergy ability but... There is another character who can do it too and also has good magic stats later on. So after I got this character Aerith just wasn't in my party tbh.

I'm not sure why they need to split the half the Weapon's tree from the previous game into Folios, it's a god damn mess because you can get extra HP in both, totally unnecessary.

I'm torn between all the characters tbh... unlike the original ff7 they are all so different that it's fun playing as them all. I have the most fun with Yuffie probably, but I character change dependent on situations (my main pty is Cloud/Yuffie/Tifa). Aertih and Barret got that infinite mp synergy skill that's fun to mess with at times, but as far as blitzing opponents I feel like yuffie/tifa is solid. Yuffie's ninjitsu elemental attacks that don't require atb makes it so she can pressure and stagger elemental weakness enemies fairly easy and I run her with first strike and haste to make everyone get atb faster... Not to mention like aerith she gives cloud that spell blade attack... and since a lot of enemies are more weaker to magic.. I made cloud have high magic attack with the runeblade+magic accessory and that attack takes freakin chunks man... for no atb... it's crazy. It has that windup but i've hit for like 4-5k on a single attack shit is OP lol I've tried different party compositions and for things like bosses I'd say Barret is top tier .. lifesaver+steel guard is still ridiculously useful for keeping everyone alive... which is why it makes sense for aerith to be with him. He soaks up all the damage and she can heal him back up like no other + they have the added benefit of their infinite mp synergy skill (kudos cause it looks dope af too lol) they actually got the other funny one too where they both put on shades/pose and they just go to town shooting magic and bullets at the enemy lol.

I wish I saw this video before I beat the game because I did not understand how to play Aerith well at all.

Hey is it just my game or does it take a while for the npc's to talk my npc's glitch and sometimes make the movements but say nothing then after a while itl load in the voices even in mid conversation, hope it's a update soon to patch this it's a few more glitches as well some really bad but overall I love the game so far

It's kinda lame that her magic laser doesn't track targeted enemies as well as being short ranged and that her vampire spell is useless unless used on a staggered enemy. Obvious note here but she along with any character in the OG FF7 can be made into a tank

In the real game, if you could get the Synergy materia before Junon I totally missed it. So really hoping it's just a demo thing and it doesn't come til later.

I keep getting stuck in a melee moveset where she doesnt shoot projectiles and just strikes with the staff and not a single guide on the internet seems to know about it. I cant get it to stop happening or happen when I want to.
