Another great video! The format you offer for beginner, Intermediate and Advanced + music and backing tracks is really good - it is just right for a Sax player. Well done!

I enjoy the lessons. I've only recently discovered you on youtube. I especially like when you show yourself playing (I can see the fingerings). Can you make all of your future videos showing your fingerings? Is there any chance you could re-do "Take Five" showing your fingerings? Thank you.....

Thanks Doc! I will certainly consider doing a take 2 of take 5!

Wonderful playing on the alto. A rhetorical comment: I don't really understand the reason for copying another player's solo. That not improvising, it's more like learning another song. And how can you learn to improvise by doing so?

Thanks so much! You can use these in a number of ways. If you don’t improvise it can just be something nice to play. But for people studying improvisation you can study these example solos and take ideas from them to apply to your own solos. This process of learning jazz language by studying example solos is very useful and something every jazz musician does.

@@OnlineSaxAcademy I like the tone your getting. I use to use Java reds before I switched to Legere.

Thanks, I haven’t tried Legere yet, I’m hoping they might send me some free ones soon 😂
