@@ryanoffers3772 it makes everything more manageable and easier to change cars, maps, settings and whatnot. Would recommend looking up how to install on yt
I was on the verge of selling my occulus quest 2 as I never really use it anymore since the pandemic has subsided.. but after watching this i think im about to keep it for a little longer and play this racing game
i have a quest 2 - i have tried setting it to Rift and oculus steam.. but it still does not load in my VR. i got it to play in Cinema mode but it was def not a full VR experience and it just looked like i was sitting on top of the screen
FOR THOSE STUCK ON NEXT UP IN THE HEADSET!!! heres the FIX! go into Assetto corsa video settings, and where it says RENDERING MODE, change it from SINGLE SCREEN, to OCULUS!!
If you move the mouse to the right of the screen an app list will pop up (its empty until you add the apps you want, which it has the list right there at the very top of the bar) go to driver and you can set your driving position with it) the oculus guardian has nothing to do with it…its a simulator…just like real life you cant just get into any car without adjusting the seat …same applies in AC
@@AdamDudee sometimes if the car doesnt have a save.ini then saving in one car may save that same position in a different car that doesnt line up and can be a tad annoying but save.ini will save for the specific car your in
You said 'run content manager' like a person whose never played this game for the 1st time (me) is supposed to know what that is lol. I had no clue what you were talking about, but thankfully figured it out on my own and installed content manager, THEN was able to get VR working.
@@HDH640 yes I did there is a setting you have to turn on in content manager and when I get home and can find the specific one I will make another comment to you
Yeah that was happening to me. I started it from a desktop shortcut which seemed to work a couple of times and also straight from Content Manager but my head would be in some preety weird views. In the bumper, on the roof, in the back seat, once or twice in the driver models head, well behind his face. Can't find settings to adjust seating position anywhere. Shes a hit miss affair for me in VR. It's hard to know what to do when it does something different almost every time.
Thanks for the tutorial. When I go to start the game up in steam VR through air link it says “Next up Assetto Corsa” and it won’t launch in VR, however it will launch on my desktop. Any idea why it is doing this?? Thanks.
I figured out what it was. You need to install Assetto Corsa Content Manager. Then somewhere in settings (don’t remember where) you need to go to “render to OpenVR” and not to the Oculus setting or other. Next you want to launch steam vr in airlink and after it loading your steam vr home, launch AC on the screen in your steam vr house like he showed. It will say “next up AC” and won’t load anything. Now you want to put the quest resting on top of your head but don’t take it off so it won’t disconnect. Head over to your desktop and then quit out of AC. With your headset still resting on top of your head now launch AC in AC Content Manager. Now head to your steering wheel and put on goggles. Hopefully you will be in VR but your POV will be off so next hold down the oculus quest home button while you are seated with steering wheel in front of you and click on reset view. Now look ahead of you while resting your hands on steering wheel and click confirm to reset view. Now your steering wheel should be good for your POV but won’t seem to want to work, but use your mouse while you’re still wearing headset to click on the steering wheel in the top left. Now you will hop into the race and your steering wheel should work. If controls don’t want to work or acting up use the configuration wizard in the regular AC game and then assign throttle clutch and gas in the control settings. Hope this helps. Took me forever to figure out these problems🥵
In my headset it just says next up and has a picture of ac. Hoped this video would address that but the gezza just says "we want content manager so we are gonna head out of this and select go" and his in. Didn't even see what he did?
@@AdamDudee Sorry If I came off a bit strong. I don't use it much anymore now I got the Oculus. I still support the creators because something good might come out on there. But thanks for showing us how to VR in AC.
when i load into the race i can see but my wheel or pedals or shifter dont work but when i load out of the game i can see all my stuff works and is responsive
when I select oculus rift, the image freezes a lot and distortions occur in the vr image. when I select openvr, there is no problem but the image is blurry.
Okay I can’t find anymore videos on RU-vid so I’m jus gonna tell you my problem, I’ve done everything you said for me to do but the vr and stuff works it’s just I can only the the gameplay on the monitor and not my vr lens so what do I do?
Hey , nice video! I have a doubt since i want to buy this vr glasses….ok so the oculus have an integrated computer…when you use it in a game like asseto for example it runs with the integrated computer or with your pc?
Every time I try to launch the game it tries to open the game in "theater mode" I have scoured though reddit and the comments of this video I all I found was to disable theater mode in the game properties and it still wont work any ideas?
So, one thing to say about the video: The audio is very low. I'm guessing you're using OBS, and I'm gonna act like it is. In OBS, you preferably need the audio to be in the in the yellow range if you want it to be loud enough to understand it without making the people watching your video have to make the audio louder. Hope this helps
When I try playing AC in AC content manager and in VR it wont pick up my controls however when I play it on the regular AC the controls work fine. Do you know why this is??
Something must have changed from when you did this video- for some reason steam says it does not support VR in this game? I can only get a big screen to show up from my computer - the program just sits when I go thru airlink
i hope you can help me so i just tried it today but i for some reason when in game i could not get back in to the menu pressed escape on my keyboard like you normaly would but wouldent work controller dident work ither can you please help me i would love to do this
Oculus Quest 2 is the most unfriendly hardware that I have ever had :) The only thing that proven to be worse were the ink printers. My gosh, setting this up is so incredibly stupid. Put googles on, take them off, put them on, take them off... lol. Crappy software - I guess.
hey boss. Any reason your using 872 degrees or steering? seems kind of odd and just wondering if you never noticed it. 900 is normal and about what 99% of people use if I'm not mistaken.
Tbh I have no idea. 😅 I rarely play this now but found to never have any issues, I did have it at 900 in the past but for some reasons it’s just defaulted :)
once i load assetto base game from steam vr inside my oculus it gets stuck at loading car meta data 100% and wont go any further . i have to manually force the task to shutdown.
once i load in game it’s super laggy to where i can’t even play, i have a fast enough computer but not a oculus link cable is that why? just tryna try the game in vr bc i think it’d be so cool but once i load it i could barley look around.
i just bought this again for the mods. unfortunately automobilista 2, as awesome as it is, sucks at mods. and there are practically no road cars or road courses which are my favorite. if only...

Hi I having a problem when I get to the steam home that shows the games and you choose assetta corsa, it doesn't open it opens on my pc. Like it's like something is not letting go into vr mode. Please any suggestions to what I might be doing wrong cause it's driving me crazy. Thank you
@@AdamDudee yes. I see it starting up on my pc screen. When I press any key the menu, with the 4 windows come up but not on my quest 2 but on my pc screen. As if I choose to play from my pc.
@@AdamDudee I do click on drive on my laptop but it looks like it's gonna do something but then it goes back to same screen. Gonna try un install and re install. If nothing happens don't know what to do from. There. Thank you
