amazing! im just getting to grips with the banjo and i am determined to nail this song - this is by far the best how to video i have found. thanks dude!
Yo I just got a free banjo from my local bar, this was the first song i knew i wanted to learn on it!! thanks for doing a lil lesson on it, this forced me to memorize some chords too. now i can play something other than just practicing on rolls! thank you
Just came across this tutorial. Thank you for posting. I've been trying to figure out this lovely song! I think this song is in 3/4 time which really helps make more sense of his strumming pattern.
Cheers mate, I did plan on learning this one as I really liked the song when I first heard you do it, but never got around to it. Ill have a play with it this week, see how I get on. Nice one.
Thanks so much man! I picked up playing banjo last summer in Southern Oregon during the fires, and this is one of the first songs I wanted to learn. Revisiting your video now just for some of the finer points. I spend a decent amount of time in Eugene, perhaps we'll cross paths and can jam sometime!
Thank you very much for real brother 🤙🤙 I’ve always played guitar on and off over the years, but have really gotten into bluegrass over the past three years. My wife got me a banjo for Christmas, and I’m still stuck between 3 finger Scruggs style and clawhammer but I’ve always loved clawhammer melodies. 3 finger feels more natural to me and I can’t seem to get the muscle rhythm down for clawhammer, but this definitely started to point me in the right direction - do you have any other beginner songs you’d recommend?
Cool as always brother🙂 Would love to see ya do soldiers eyes, by jack savoretti or even copperhead road too. Soldiers eyes would be super cool because it already has a clawhammer rhythm but all the videos are only showing how to do it on guitar😟
@@TravisBoudreau if you ever decide to give it a shot here is a youtube vid were the guy puts the tab on screen and does it on accoustic. Sounds great but i dont know how to go from guitar to banjo😟 It doesn't seem so bad once we crack the code. Here is the link if ya get brave😉 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hn3EKSP6_ys.html
