Thanks for the quick, clear video. It's a nice "how to", however, I would like to point out you made 3 mistakes in your explanation, one trivial, two quite grave (unless maybe you have a different version of the game? I have the 2nd edition and will quote instructions from the respective manual). 1 (arguably trivial): at 2:08, when you start moving characters, you have them start outside the house. This is a mistake, as the rulebook clearly states, on page 4 (second page of the "setup") that "Each player puts his or her explorer's plastic figure in the entrance hall". This means, basically, that you are robbing Zoe (and potentially every other player) of one whole move - she could have gone upstairs and explored one undiscovered room. 2 (kind of grave): at 2:32 you say "When you discover a room, that ends your movement". False. Page 6 of the rulebook, section "on your turn...", subsection "move", "example of moving": "(...) If the new room you find doesn't require you to draw a card, you can keep going...but if it does, you have to stop". What actually ends your turn, provided you could still move further than the room you have just entered, is the action of drawing an event card, omen card or item card. Drawing a room tile does not equal drawing a card. There are a couple of exceptions when a room's instructions block your way unless you successfully execute a stat roll but, more importantly, there are plenty of rooms, corridors and passages which do not require you to draw a card. 3 (kind of grave): at 3:12 you say "now we have to make an Omen Roll". Well, in my playbook, it's called "Haunt Roll", but this is not the actual problem. The problem is - you make the Haunt Roll using 8 dice, however, the rulebook clearly states the following, on page 15, section "the haunt" subsection "Making a haunt roll": "Before the haunt starts, you must roll 6 dice at the end of your turn each time you draw an omen card." 6!, not 8! By rolling 8 dice, you are drastically decreasing the chances of a haunt starting mid-game (so, with half of the room tiles still uncovered) and therefore, dragging out the game. Otherwise good vid, keep up the good work!

Oh, the long peice with numbers on it is for the haunt roll. So everytime someone draws an omen card you move up, it is easier to keep track if you remember to move it.

quick question: when the haunt begins, how much info are the two teams supposed to share? The other night we got #10, family reunion, and it sorta fell apart because the heroes didn't really have enough information to strategize (their guide didn't disclose how the monsters moved, which was key to trapping them). So, the traitor read some of their guidebook aloud to everyone. I know the rules state the heroes shouldn't disclose anything, but what about the traitor? Do they have to read their side of the rules to everyone?

Thanks - it was our first time playing, but it might be just a poorly worded scenario. Check it out next time you play, if you want. It doesn't seem to really work because it pretty much gives no information to the survivors. Cheers!

We just got this game and some of the cards aren't specific on what to do, some are. I wish someone made a video reading each card and tile explaining them. Some are easily understood but we argue over some since they aren't specific

This is an amazing video, explaining the rules perfectly in 5 minutes! That's an achievement and you should be proud of it. I have one small suggestion though, and I haven't seen this in the comments unless I missed it. We now know that a haunt roll is 6 die as Fiddlevlad pointed out. But you say in the video you have to roll more then the amount of omens and if you roll less then the haunt starts. All of that is correct though it would have been clearer that you pointed out you have to roll EQUAL or less the the amount of omens, because rolling equal doesn't start the haunt yet.
