if you use this tutorial you wont have to worry about any cheaters or anything like that and the patch also optimizes the game so you can have higher fps than the base game. I highly recommend getting the game!! there's so much fun to be had. just use the patch and you'll be safe :)

​@@SLIPOFFABRIDGE Its my first time playing BO3 on Steam, i need to learn more about the game but dont played some custom maps yet, but already see a lot of amazing custom maps that the community made, i have the zombie chronicles version of the game, dont have even the most famous maps from DLC's :( but anyway having a blast haha, when i finished all the maps i have i will go search some custom maps for sure.

tbh there isn't a whole lot of risk anymore. With the patch it's perfectly safe. Before Activision patched the game recently people were able to inject malware into your pc but now they can't. The only downside to playing without the patch is the chance of getting booted offline or having your game session end. I've been playing zombies everyday for the past couple months and haven't experienced any issues. I highly recommend actually getting bo3 if you want to play it. It isn't as dangerous as you think .

Nah man I wouldn't know anything about it. I got the game for like 18 bucks on g2a a couple years back, so I've never cracked the game. I know T7 doesn't like cracked copies though.

I don't think T7 likes the game to be cracked. I'm not sure on that though. The game on steam works perfectly with it.

Have you tried getting an achievement with the T7 patch? I don't know if you can or not because my game is 100% completed on steam. You should be able to play safely with the patch and then you can just play normally and get the achievements. If you can't unlock achievements with the patch on I wouldn't know honestly.

@@garrikwoodhouse9673 I'm not sure honestly. I know activision patched out the ability to inject malware into your pc. I'm pretty sure the worst that can happen without the patch is getting DDOS'd or having your info leaked. If your game is repeatedly crashing I'd say verify your game files or uninstall and reinstall. if you have the patch turned on you'll get better fps too.

Gotta lauch t7 first before launching bo3, but I can't even launch bo3 atm, it crashes on startup

No errors or bans but your friend might get hacked or be a weak link into your game session that can be exploited. Why doesnt your friend have it? It takes 2 seconds to install for safety.

@@r_jesus126 yeah because if he doesnt use the patch that still leaves your lobby open for attack. Yes it can affect you too. The only way to be safe is to have everyone using the patch and preferably with the friends only box marked so you are completely secure.

if your patch isnt in your directory folder it wont protect your session when you launch it.

nah. I've had other people also say they dont get the dll but they still can play perfectly fine.

once you have the vpn installed you have to create a network and have your friend connect to your network. Once you're connected you have to also make sure your password on the T7 patch is the SAME if you're using different passwords you wont be able to connect to eachother. If both of those are working then you can just connect normally through the game.

I'm not sure honestly I've never had a mac personally.

uhh If you're referring to a cracked game im not sure if T7 works with it but it doesn't hurt to try. If it does work then you wouldn't need boiii at all.

There's no rat in the official patch, I don't think people like MrTLexify would promote a serious malware. I haven't personally had anything weird happen on my computer and I frequently do full scans of my disks. You don't need to worry :)

yes this can happen if you only have zombies installed, not having the full game installed can cause frame drops in the menu. If it's not that then I'm not sure. Best of luck

so if this happens you can try to launch bo3 first and then open the patch. A week or so ago I had this same issue and all I did was open the game first then I opened the patch and it started working as normal again.

yes it does. In my time I've also gotten a lot of fps drops but with T7 it is wayy smoother. Higher overall fps and less frame drops.

I can confirm that is complete bogus. I've never had anything reset and I've transferred from boiii to t7 so there's nothing to worry about.

@@SLIPOFFABRIDGE yup, I even uninstalled and reinstalled Black Ops 3/steam. It still crashed, I managed to get back on BO3 today after uninstalling and reinstalling steam. (Deleted previous steam files), I have to test the game out tomorrow to see if it works without crashing. I never had issues before and all of a sudden been having issues. There are discussion topics relating to crashes

don't know if you managed to fix this issue but I have a possible solution. pretty much just disconnect all monitors except for the main monitor when launching the game. a really weird solution but it worked for a friend of mine who was having a similar issue as you.

@@dismodest I only have 1 monitor, people have said that PC BO3 has had issues since launch and they were fixed, but some people got unlucky and can't fix the issues. I have tried all methods and the longest I got to play zombies was almost 2hrs, now I'm back to not being able to even launch zombies

yeah it does. I've never personally had a crash unless I used a mod on a map that didnt support it.

the worst that can happen is getting booted offline or your ip gets grabbed. They used to be able to inject malware into your computer but activision patched that. I would still use the patch to be safe though.

Nah you're fine. But if you're worried you could do a quick scan on windows defender to find out if you got infected.

I have not seen an instance where T7 hasn't worked. I use it and mainly play solo and haven't had any issues.

Yeah basically. Its really busted. I believe the servers for Bo3 have been cracked so people who have malicious intent can look through the server browser and see basically anyone whos online and in a game even if its a private / solo game, and they can join your game, remote access your computer, install viruses, etc. Not good stuff but T7 prevents all of that.

to further expand on slip , what they can do since bo3 is heavily rooted with steams server backend and borrows like a really outdated version of source engine spaghetti code server listing crap. leaves really big vulnerability and they attempted patching it once but only kinda did it in a afternoon and didnt fully test it so it only made it safe for like 6 hours then the bad folk were up and running again. why does rce need to be in bo3? well that reason is because they are using alot of old steam/source crap it is borrowing the tech to allow you to remotely control a server in this case the game lobby since dedicated servers were never a thing until mw19 for cod. but the problem was most of these servers are "listen servers" so basically you or who ever created the lobby is the "admin/host" and it takes no effort to grab the ip to send or request date from the host pc. the reason this is in place is so you can get the game data to play with friends or who ever but another big reason is that if you are using custom content ie from the workshop it can tell the other pc's to download it but they didn't really think it through because someone on a github page can download the tools to rat your pc. this is really sad that a billion dollar company cant fix their highest played game. with this being said, they are able to to force join a lobby with a "rcon" password basically and then since they have the same privileges as you then they can do what ever they want to your pc until you close your game but that could be to late because in like 30 seconds they can script anything into your pc making the only option to reset your pc fully and try again :/

if you're just randomly queueing into games on the normal servers on steam you're at the most risk of getting booted offline or having your ip snatched. people used to be able to inject malware into your pc too but they patched that. On T7 you cant play with randoms unless you find a server hosted on a map you want to play. Playing public lobbies unprotected is crazy im surprised nothings happened to you yet.

you shouldnt be able to find a public lobby on the patch. Thats why it has it's own server browser instead. Public lobbies are not safe anymore.

@@SLIPOFFABRIDGE quick update decided to let the normal version of bo3 look for a lobby for more than 10 seconds and ive gotten into so many different lobbies with alot of awesome people Havent had any issues with hackers etc Just alot of people missing bo3 Definitely a good purchase for the summer on my end

Malicious people can see your game sessions unless you're playing completely offline and they can take your ip address, boot you offline, join your game and mess with you even if you're playing a solo game, etc. They used to be able to inject malware aswell but I believe Activision patched that.

tbh everyone should need it. All it does really is encrypt your data from the steam servers and protects you from people being able to see your game sessions regardless if you're solo or not. I'm not a big youtuber by any means and even before I started posting videos, before the patch, I had a couple times where I'd be doing a easter egg with some homies or even solo and we'd get booted offline for hours. There has also been instances of people being able to inject malware into your pc through the game but activision patched that. I believe all they have control of now is your personal data and your game. Like someone could remote access your pc mid game and you wouldn't even know unless they tabbed you out or something. Its just smart to have the patch. hope this helps.

@@Acecdawg just hackers. they are able to get into the steam api so thats why the steam servers arent safe. Using the patch wont block you from showing up in the server browser on the patch but you'll be safe from the steam servers vulnerabilities if that makes sense.

Its not being supported anymore so its easily breachable. Its still safer than steam but its not 100% safe.

boiii isn't safe anymore unfortunately it got cracked and the dev isn't supporting it anymore.

@@SLIPOFFABRIDGE Theres a fork called ezz boiii now, its sort of “soft” supported, it gets small updates every few months and has workshop support now, ppl still on servers but they ain’t very active, only 1 or 2 servers has max players (18 players) since it isn’t that popular and its still safer to play on the client then it is on steam, even if u running T7 patch especially if you wanna play public zombies because steam zombies is based on P2P and hackers can do a lot of stuff against you, where on boiii its all server browser and you have unlock all level 1000. Overall you experience playing on boiii will be much better then playing on steam. Hope you give it a try.

@@nam8553 T7 has all of the same features of BOIII but is 1 secure patch. Yes there are multiple branches of boiii but most of them are unsafe and I'd honestly rather just use T7 because im familiar with it and its way safer than the steam servers. I played a couple games last night on the server browser aswell and had a pretty good time.

​@@SLIPOFFABRIDGE you have more customization on the boiii client and you have less hackers there, Nothing wrong with playing with t7 mp on steam, but your experience will be much better on the client. Also what do you mean by "steam servers" and what do you mean by " same features" You are already playing bo3 on steam just with T7 Patch, makes no difference, the T7 Patch just gives you extra FPS Boost and prevents hackers to crash your game.

@@nam8553 I have never had a negative experience in T7. In Boiii I've been booted offline and had my pc blue screen. I don't like Boiii. I don't play enough public matches to care about less hackers. All I care about is being able to play the game with my friends and solo safely. I have everything I need with T7 so I really don't see the point unnecessary change.

@@sliiq I wouldn't recommend playing multiplayer. You're still going to run into cheaters and hackers. This patch is mainly just for solo and friend safety.
