In this video, I describe how to play through the song Boys Of Summer (Don Henley) using the 80's/90's sound pack which can be found at www.audora.ca for the Korg Kronos
Dave, Nice video! When I play this song on the Kronos, I like to use Combi IA-38 Hammered Santurians. It gives you a really nice shimmering 12 string guitar like quality with some ambiance underneath. I usually turn the EG Int and the EG release point up a little so the notes really ring out. Try this out on songs like Heart of the Matter and Hotel California. It's also useful for some other songs like GnR's Civil War and Paradise City, and Bryan Adam's Summer of 69. Please check this Combi out and let me know what you think.
Just one question, if you can help me, so I don't get lost in manuals ... Is it possible to insert a combi sound into the sequencer mode, to a track of your choice? I bought Korg Kronos recently so, this would help if you know ... Thank you
Yes - absolutely. When in Sequencer mode, choose the drop down menu in the top right and there should be an options to copy from... And choose Combi. Give that a try - I'm not in front of my Kronos but I believe that SHOULD be an option.
