It’s funny. For all the great strides you’ve made at improving the quality of your videos over the years, this one is still one of my main go-to videos for relaxing after work.

How did I miss this video. It's like new videos pop up every day and they are multiple years old.

The easiest way you could describe the knight's movement is in an "L" shape. Or a Tetris "L" shape. That's the way I've always pictured it

It seems on almost everyone ASMR video I watch there are people complaining about the relaxing atmosphere and whispering/low toned voice, the tapping and scratching etc... you know, the very basic things that makes an ASMR video. Why the hell do these people watch ASMR videos if they hate ASMR videos? I just... I can't lol.

One of the first memories I have is when I was 7 and my grandfather taught me how to play and it is to this day the one I cherish the most...

8 years later, I get this video tagged to me on Twitter, and you know, this video is as strong today as it was the day it was uploaded. I have seen a lot of ASMR videos on chess, but this was the best at describing castling, en passant, and the 'white square to the right' rule. This was really nice to watch.

How to play chess: ♟ Pawn: you get 8 pawn pieces. They are located at the front row as the small pieces. The first ever move you make with all those piece, you can choose to move forward one space or 2. But only on the first move of every pawn. Rooks: you get 2 rookies. These are located in the corners of the board. They look like a castle. These pieces can be moved as far as you want front, back,right,left but never diagonal. Knights: you get 2 knights. knights are located right next to the rook piece. These look like horses. With this you can move one square one way and then 2 squares another way. Bishop: you get 2 bishops. Bishops are next to the knights. This piece has a slit in the top. It kind of looks like a frown (opposite to a smile). The queen: you get 1 queen. The queen is located next to the bishop on any side (I say any because you’re other opponent has to place their queen on the opposite bishop to theirs so that the queens aren’t aligned). The queen is the second tallest piece so you can’t miss it. The queen is important because it can go ANY direction as FAR as it wants. This is a useful piece. The king: you get 1 king. The king is located next to your queen. Usually has a cross at the top of your piece. This piece you MUST protect at all cost. If your king gets taken, you loose. The king can only move 1 space any direction. Making it very vulnerable. You are allowed to cross over your pieces with the knights and rooks (but some people don’t allow rooks to be crossed over your pieces because it makes your rook a bit overpowered). For the other pieces you can not just ‘jump over/cross over’ another piece. Take out your opponents king.
