@@larsbutschle6813 He throws "natural"which is good..but not preferred to teach others..his stance is very bad. Think it derives from playing as a little kid..however he has a solid speed, and that seems to be favorable over a softer throw. for him it works..as long as he does not think about things...bam bam bam..
When I started throwing darts again after twenty years I watched all the pros. To me, RVB and Phil Taylor have the best form and were the one's worth emulating. Especially Barney's beautiful, relaxed throw. If I could only throw half as well.
One of the first things I figured out was the more you can minimize extraneous movement the more accurate you will be. It's simple logic to eliminate as many variables as possible. Barney's stroke typifies this idea.
@@vilimiryordanov8502 Pause right at the end of 1:42. Looks like his pinky is on the point. He only said that when he releases the dart, he lets go of the pinky. Which you can see during 1:43 to 1:44.
What an eye opener, barnie probably has the smoothest throw of all the professional dart players these days, but 3 fingers on the point, that is unique, most advise a 3 three finger overall grip or 4 at the most, I'd like to see mvgs throw broken down, and Daryll Gurney's.
I tried out this grip and instantly got a more accurate throw. Finally no wobbling and I'm able to throw the darts within a circle of 2 cm. When things start to fall apart, that's because I'm not able to throw so smoothly and relaxed as he does. But that's the key, relaxedness. Thank you for these videos.
I consider RVB as the best trowing player ever as throwing like him is extremely difficult. I know it requires a lot of practice but whenever i see him playing the darts i feel extremely incompetent regarless my experience but it motivates do not give up that and keep practice....
It requires a lot of practice. My throw is very similar to Barney's. You have to practice a lot to find the perfect timing to release the dart. However, when I find the perfect timing, you feel like hitting everything you are aiming at. And it looks so smooth but sometimes I tend to just releasing the dart instead of throwing it.
@@avery_nicegirl9 I have had a problem with my elbow that tended to bent to one side. I have fixed that and in good days I throw at least similiar to I would expect to throw. even tons and maximums have returned back. but in bad days it's still horrendous. like i said it's neverending work to stand in front of dartboard and dart by dart improve myself :)
@@TomasMisura sorry to hear from your injury. Same here, sometimes I feel like hitting everything but on the other day I play so bad. I have been struggling with Dartitis btw for 5 years.
@@avery_nicegirl9 More than injury i simply was not able during aiming phase to keep hand in straigh line and when I've thrown the dart sometimes I hit myself with hand. It was very frustrating and spent a lot of time to fix it...
His elbow has dropped a lot in the last 3/4 years, and he doesn't throw firm enough for his action. His old throw 2005-2012 was the best around. I reckon he's contemplating for the darts he uses these days. Shame!!!
when asked how do you hold the dart, barneveld holds the dart like he supposedly always holds it. but when he throws, you can see that his index finger is pointing up and his pinky isn't touching the tip of the dart at all. bad analysis👎🏼
Jesus Christ, I almost admire the way the darts commentators and the pundits seem to be able to complicate and over evaluate what in reality is a straight forward game
@@TomMellorx I 've played darts on and off for years mate, what I'm saying is there's no need for all this technical nonsense, you think Raymond Barneveld thinks about all that stuff Rod Harrington was banging on about?
Have you analysed any throws? Phil Taylor throw is amazing every single aspect is unique and he has to make sure that every dart thrown is the same. Tough to do.
@@tectorama Well I hope you have installed your dartboard and practicing. I expect to hear about you getting through Q-School and qualifying for a tour card in the next 5 years.
Thank you. Was just thinking that with the Target Launch around the corner, he has new ones. You’re right . I‘m also concerned that Taylor shouldn’t sign with target - his phase 5 were the best for him
So far, that's still Target actually! He can't use the other darts that is beside Target while his darts sponsor remains like that. Let's make a petition of him to use Unicorn darts again!
