These videos have progressively gotten longer somehow... I originally thought each episode of this series would take 10-15 mins but I was so wrong. I'll try my best to not make them any longer than this! Thanks for all the support by the way, I'm glad these are helpful to so many of you
I think that the time is perfect with the length it lets you properly explain the different aspects of the character and hint at more advance techniques which are appreciated by fellow Etalus main XD.
Just incase you didn’t know, a huge update is coming out which will contain the DLC for Free, so unless you want to buy them now and get an exclusive skin, don’t purchase the DLC, just wait a little bit
Also, if you can’t do the etalus is the best combo, dash attack-> bair dash attack-> bair also puts you in a similar position and I believe also does 40% damage (including the freeze damage)
@@michaelmouawad3575 jumping can be really predictable. As an orcane main I could bair, nair, bubble but fair, on the jump. However if it works its an amazing situation. Especially on the ledge.
It's just not very good. Pretty much any time you would use dair, one of Etalus' other moves does a better job. The main problem with dair is that it's very easy for opponents to fall out of, and it doesn't combo very well because it sends down (techable) instead of up like nair would. It's only real use is for sometimes gimping opponents offstage, but the move lasts long enough that you might actually kill yourself because you won't be able to jump out of it in time, so uair, fai, or up-b spikes end up being better options.
Been thinking of picking up Etalus, first time watching this video. Wish I woulda watched it earlier, there's lots of good information about reading your opponent in neutral that I think can be applied to most/all characters in one way or another.
That being said, I've been putting more time into speed running 30XX and aim training for Apex than Rivals of Aether, I'm thinking of just cutting out a lot of aim training and FPS play altogether to play more Rivals and git gud. Def don't wanna stop running 30XX though, that game is a blast.
Can you make a guide for elliana? i just got this game and I play elliana and wrastor and I use keyboard I'm wondering if this is viable or if I need a controller.
@@michaelmouawad3575 if you still need the answer, I personally mapped attack to A and the right stick, and then I use the left shoulder button for strong attacks, but that's personal preference I guess
The dash attack cancel nairs seem ridiculous. Even if top level players can outplay it, I think it sticks out as bad design from the rest of the game. (That said I'm still new, so maybe I'll discover ways to counter this that aren't unfun or overly skill intensive)
Dumb question, is there a trick to avoid accidentally sound dash attack instead of ftilt or vice versa? Since both are such integral parts and I struggle with accidentally inputting dash attack instead of ftilt
I think something in the controls can help with that. one thing im considering is changing my c stick to tilt attacks and using smash attacks and dash attacks with the a button
