It's happens in the beginning. Start by trying to sing songs with the same patterns it'll be easier. Keep working on it. I started learning guitar in lockdown, I couldn't sing at the same time in beginning too but the more I got a better grip of the chords and patterns, I can sing songs with basic patterns easily and the complicated ones take a day or two. I'm not an expert but I've been there. Keep going 👍❤️
Most effective way is to assume a simple down strumming pattern initially, only noting the chord changes at specific lyrics to understand the timing between chord progression and lyrics. Once this is understood you can incorporate the strumming pattern but instead of singing try humming. Eventually with more and more practice you can combine both the strumming pattern and singing together.
