Using the number system is my blue print!!!! My pops taught me when I was a kid to learn the formula you can learn any song if you learn the formula!!! It urkes me when I hear musicians tell me they don’t like using the number system!!! Bass players especially the 4 in a lot of scenarios is not the key of the song they will say the first note for them is the key and usually it’s not!!!
All Facts my bro... Numbers are super clutch, ESPECIALLY when you learn a song for one singer, then another singer needs that same song in a different key on the spot!!!... I already know you have much use for numbers because you're a professional session musician and do a ton of covers for different top notch bands!!! 🔥
