🙏🏽👏. You are giving away so much information for free bro. You are so great and kind hearted. We need more people like you in the world of music. Many on RU-vid have channels to make money but you are teaching all these for free as you mentioned you did not monetize your channel and will not. That’s so great of you anna.👏👏🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
i’ve been playing carnatic violin for a decade now. my teacher has never helped me and always complained that i was bad, she said i didn’t have what it takes and always complained to my dad. but i just needed practice. this helps me so much, thank you!!
Nice sir very helpful to me.. l have so much doubts on gamakas and movements of fingerings.. after watching this video and your tips all my doubts are cleared.. I definitely follow your tips sir .. It's very helpful to me well practicing violin 😊 THANK YOU SO MUCH SIR🙂
Thank you I will practice your way it sounds so good gamaka make a big difference in the melody it is unique to our violin playing compared to the western system....Thsnk you, God Bless you.
My teacher did not teach anything. We just need to observe and play, which saddens me and discourages me from playing. Thank God, I learnt many techniques from youtube videos from experts like you and few others. I really appreciate and bow to you. 😘😘😘😘

Hi sir. I am from Sri Lanka and um 28 now. Learning and playing violin has always been my passion since my childhood and unfortunately I didn't get a chance to start the learning process. I just started learning a violin and I had to quit my classes as I am not able to manage my time between work and classes. I started watching your videos and learning sir. Thank you souch for explaining everything very well. And literally you have become my guru. Please guide me through the videos and I would be grateful ❤ much love ❤❤
I am obliged towards you Sir, I have a lot of problem in fingering because I have a small index finger. So usually I use single finger to play gamaka. Will definitely practice the exercise.
Plz aap se vinathi hai ki youtube mein videos dekhke violin naa seekhe. Violin yeah koi bhi instrument keliye ek guru hona bohuth zaroorihai. Aur violin keliye mainly beginners keliye in person guru bohuthe zaroorihai. Varna aapko kaun batayenge ki aap correct yah wrong karrahiho. So plz do not learn from RU-vid videos all by your self if you are a beginner. Plz join classes.🙏🏽. A humble request/suggestion
It is indeed informative and useful... Waiting for more such tutorial videos as well as songs too... I would suggest you to try a few carnatic songs, as well as try film songs like Madhurame from Arjun reddy, uyiril thodum from kumblangi nights.. Well done sir and keep going!!!
I am sure we talked before but it was only today that I was going through your channel. Man you are doing an amazing job in explaining so many topics on violin. I think people just can’t search properly or they just don’t want to search. As many topics that many ask me are all in your channel. From now on if any one asks for such topics, I will send them to your channel 😊😃. Will be sharing your channel more often I guess.
Thank you for the wonderful tips, a beginner violin player here, would like to ask if the index finger should touch the side of the violin when playing, meaning do we squeeze our hand or there should be a gap between the index finger and the side of the violin when playing the gamakkas.
It should not as that will restrict the movement. It can touch little but don’t press against violin. Your hand and fingers should be as free as possible
You explain in a simple way and very easy to understand. Excellent teacher you are. To place the violin in a western style..will this same palm position work? I always face problem to play clear notes. Pl do explain holding the right way to hold the bow
Thanks a ton .Searched everywhere nobody explained like this sharing their knwledge..sorry if am asking too much are there any other gamakas and can u provide a tutorial on tat exercise ..if possible?.
Anna really it's perfect n very very useful tip thanks a lot! Yeah I used to play Ri index finger n Ga middle finger but for Ma I used index finger straight a way ( Ri to Ma), same way Da to Sa' , 😇 I'll practice this way ✌️ thank you ♥️♥️♥️ waiting for part 2 🎻🎻🎻
Using index finger for Ma is absolutely fine and nothing wrong. Infact you should use it when you play Pa on Sa string and gamakas that involve Ma, Pa, Dha on Sa string. So don’t change the way you play.
