I love how this build's stats fit perfectly for the meme about Han putting all his skills in charisma but can never roll above a 4, Intercom: What's going on down there? Come in! Han Solo: Uh, everything is under control. Situation normal. Intercom: What happened? DM: roll for deception (nat 1) Han Solo: [flustered] Uh, had a slight weapons malfunction. But, uh, everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you? Intercom: We're sending a squad up. Han Solo: Uh, uh, negative, negative. We had a reactor leak here now. Give us a few minutes to lock it down. Large leak... very dangerous. Intercom: Who is this?? What's your operating number? Han Solo: Uh... (player: fuck it I shoot the console!) we're about to have company
Headcanon, Snoke is a divination wizard who forced Han to loose his insight roll. How did he die then? Well he said he gave his fighter a nat 20 on his attack roll, without confirming who he was attacking.
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 a build for Jango Fett would be awesome since he's kind of a gunslinger and in the EU he killed at least 6 jedi with his bare hands
Remember, the bonus action attack that crossbow expert gives you for hand crossbow doesn't specify what one handed weapon you use. So you can use the attack action with a hand crossbow, then fire it again with a bonus action. Boom. There you go, two attacks per round. Though, you can't use your cunning action to aim. Take your pick depending on the situation.
"you know, sometimes i amaze even myself" I think is the quote that represents himself more than every other thing he has said in all the movies, series and C H R I S M A S S P E C I A L S
Fun fact: even without using a melee weapon, every character in 5e is proficient in unarmed strikes, so if activating fancy footwork to give yourself an out is your goal a bit of dirty fighting with a kick below the belt isn’t a half bad idea and kinda fits Han, even if you only get 1 bludgeoning damage on a hit.
For the record, the UA Aim Bonus Action isn’t just for ranged attacks. It’s for any attack. It was stated in interview the purpose of this option is to accommodate rogues in parties where they’re the only frontliner so they can still Sneak Attack
I played the "Aarakocra Han Solo" build based off this in a Level 6 one shot. A ranged swashbuckler Rogue works out rather well, even at that low level. Fancy Footwork might be melee, but it's great insurance if an enemy closes the gap between you and him and you want to get the heck outta there. Make a melee swipe with your rapier then use your awesome 50 feet of flying to get out of jail free and pelt him with hand crossbow shots The bonus to initiative is also quite welcomed as a Rogue. Yes, a ranged Rogue should never be that close to an opponent, but it happened. It basically saved my life and i even got a crit with the rapier stab then fly away. You're basically a flying sniper with solid options all around. It was a good time.
Sir, it is awesome content creators like you, Eckhartsladder, Spacedock, and Installation 00 that help me love Sci-Fi even more. Thanks for the amazing content and 'live long and prosper in the force'. I pray you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holidays.
Actually suggested same thing ages, I figured Beast Wars be nearest can get.... Since no transform into constructs (Huh 1 class I don't think ever had a legit edition, self artifact polymorph
Man this is by far becoming my favorite channel on RU-vid I've been watching these most of the day makes me wanna try them all Lol you sir are a legend! Also throwing a few suggestions for builds that i'd like to see from a old childhood game is Legends of the Dragoons characters like Dart Lavitz Rose etc... was a great 4 disc Ps1 game back in the day
Guessing before I watch Tough one for this, you could do a few different things with Han. So for race it's going to be a Varient Human, with stats in dex and wis. I believe there's a smuggler background, so that's that. Now the tough part, what class is Han? Well he should definitely have some Rogue in there, if anything just to nab Thieves Cant, and for the type, Mastermind has some good stuff that fits Han. Now Han enlisted so I think some Fighter levels are in order as well, and as strange as it seems, Samurai would work well, especially since (if I remember correctly) it nabs you the much needed calligraphy skill. Oh and he needs the Lucky feat 100%, luck is the only reason that guy lives as long as he does.
I'd say he would be a Lore Bard as well, so he can get extra Intelligence and Wisdom skills from the Bonus Proficiencies. Either that or Eloquence. Artoo would either be a short Warforged or a Halfling Valor Bard(because he can actually do things in combat)/possibly with a little Rogue mixed in
Getting self-deprecating with the title cards these days, Tulok the Barbrarian? Congrats on completing another Star Wars build, and one that can reach level 20 in one class. Max Dex and CHA in swashbuckler is perfect for Han, minus the swashing, and the failure on the "major insight check " was a well executed joke.
whilst I agree with the accuracy, I think I'd have taken a level of fighter for archery fighting style and maybe sharpshooter somewhere. but honestly it's not necessary and han is epitome of rogue
I'd put 5 levels of Fighter Champion for the Archery, extra attack and increased chance to crit to really emphasis the quickdraw sharpshooter aspect of Han. I personality can live without the Rogue's last 5 levels. I feel like trading some extra Sneak Attack die for a little better durability, minimum two attacks, more accurate shots, plus Action Surge and Second Wind is a great trade. Plus with Crossbow Expert, you could get three attacks in a round with your hand crossbow.
@@mas8705 that would be a good one. Shouldn't be too complex. The one I want to see the most is Road Hog since not only is he my main, I would love to see how close Tulok could get to 600 HP with no armor Lol
John Doe honestly, I was about to edit my comment to say, “tracer could be too complicated” and suggest Reaper. At least there, you could say he could have some kind of life steal while making his teleport work better than it does in game.
Not really sure where the whole "Han is force sensitive and should use a lightsaber" thing came from, but there's other melee weapons in star wars, so could use something else for swashbuckler, like a vibroblade.
Love the writeup; love the series. That said I've always maintained Han is a straight fighter that THINKS he's a rogue. High Cha sure, but no social skills. Every time he tries to fast talk he fails and winds up shooting stuff. He can't open doors, fix the Falcon, or even sneak around well, but he'll charge stormtroopers...
Best one yet. Though if you roll stats and get SUPER lucky, you can get Sharpshooter instead of another ASI and that would solve the range issue, as well bump up damage quite a bit.
I just came home after seeing Rise of Skywalker, and it seems I'm the only one who somewhat liked it judging by Reddit's reaction. Sure, it had its flaws, but overall I still think it was very enjoyable.
Notes from a NG human Idiot; Greetings from lovely Restenford(only 7 more days till AllBlessed Day)! With my day of birth coming day after tomorrow(rather good disaster flick suprisingly), i find it facinating you didn't add 3 levels of Fighter(Arcane Archer) to Ol' Han here. It would drop his damage dice a little, but you'd kick up those low saves and some much needed HP and Magic damage to that crossbow(nothing in Arcane Archer says you have to use a bow, just a ranged weapon). It also explains thematically why he never misses a shot with his pistol(he only ever missed when using larger weapons).... May your pantheon ever favor you Baron Trevelyan of Restenford
Great video! All this Star Wars universe sequency looks pretty good, and maybe you could follow this "style" from now over. I would love to see you building some The Witcher's characters btw, such as Geralt or Gaunter.
Fun fact. Panache isn't a magical charm, nor does it use a saving throw. So most charm resistance (looking st you, elves) doesn't apply. I'm also in the camp that thinks Han pushed the button on the saber.
@bentash727 Honestly, I don't get why people have such issues with flintlock muskets and pistols if the campaign is specifically set in an era that does have them. Like if we're playing a viking or an ancient Greek inspired campaign, I get not allowing them. But if it's in the quadi late medieval/ early modern era D&D is famous for, why not? There were cannons and firearms used during the 100 years war. Also a good pirate or smuggler needs a good pistol.
Your vids make me want to play 5e straight up. Our group plays a modified 2nd, 3rd and 5th editions combined as we have been playing for over 25 years... any chance you could do a build with the Gunslinger class and or a video build on Roland from the Dark Tower?
One thing I just noticed is we don't talk about everyone's alignments are. Like, some are kinda obvious (like DIO being CE and Jonathan Joestar being LG) but others are harder to pinpoint.
Dumb trivia note: If space ships have air inside them for the people to breathe, and rocket fuel to power their non-lightspeed engines, then they should still explode when hit with weapons that burn big smoking holes in things (like every star wars weapon ever.)
Episode 111 of the Fire Emblem stats: Han Solo. Han Solo is a master marksman, so he's great with arrows. In addition, he's one of the best pilots in lore, so he's great at flight. He's bad at both types of magic since he's not adept in the Force. His luck and charm are through the roof but he's pretty poor in most other areas.
I think Han Solo is Force Sensitive but just enough that he's luckier than the average person. He has more Midichlorians than the average person but not enough to use the Force. Every living being (plant and animal) has Midichlorians within their cells but the number determines how Force Sensitive you are. The average count for everyday non-Force beings is 1000/cell, in order to be considered for Jedi training you'd need around 7000/cell, Han would maybe be around 3000/cell.
I forgot to suggest the Lich king yesterday! So I’ll say it twice today. Please do the Lich King or a death knight! Please do the Lich King or a death knight!
vibroblades were a thing in legends so like I think the shortsword thing would still be relavant if he got ahold of one of those, but I don't know if they were still around in the Clone Wars to Empire era. Also, DON'T GIVE UP, TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS!
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 Even if you don't do a video for them I think you'd enjoy the Legacy of Kain games. If for nothing else but the writing and voice acting. Especially Tony Jay as the Elder God. If the series is ever rebooted or continued they'll be hard pressed to find a VA that can do Tony justice after his passing.
The amount of times you say "swashbuckler" makes me think of the line "This calls for some serious swashbuckling, and no one else can buckle swashes like me." from Archer. Speaking of, how about Stirling Archer in D&D?
@@apex2000 basic. His coma versions are pretty much just flavour. He still has the same skills and personality, so you can just make some slight adjustments to the background as needed
Ok so I’m sure all of this is already planned out, but I’m curious if it’d be possible to get an IG-100 Magnaguard build. Juggernaut Warforged with a badass staff, battle master fighter would be perfect.
Tulok the Barbrarian they are the ones that are with General grievous in the beginning of episode three. Type “Magnaguard” into RU-vid and your first result will have all you need!
im not sure if you do book series or not (i havent seen one yet) but if you do you should make one of the knights radiant from the stormlight archives, maybe Kaladin or Shallan
