Thanks for the video! Even as an avid Magic player, I was still pretty confused and overwhelmed with how they worded the rules. Your video was the first one I came across that wasn't just reading verbatim the same rulebook I'm looking at, while also playing a mock game. I understood it the first time but I'm going to watch it a couple more times to retain the knowledge to help teach my son.

That was very helpful, the written scoring instructions on point movement at the end of the round were murky to me. Thank you for clearing that up!

I have not played it yet, but for the bonuses (+ and -) associated to every dinosaur I think it would be more logical and easier to consider them at the very end of the turn. Because at the end of the day the strengths and weaknesses of the dinosaur do not affect the card, it is his survival while facing the danger. So I think it would make more sense this way and the point cards will not have hidden bonuses like the pan in your example weakened by the cry ceratops, but finally in the hands of stego. So in your example cry ceratops would have 6 (7-1), stego 2 and raging raptor 5 (6-1). Do you think this could make it easier to calculate points?

Thanks for putting this together! Only feedback I'd give is I wish more time was spent on the core mechanics, vs the edge case resolving! For example, I am not sure after playing the number cards which order people get to play their "instant" cards, or if they can play more than one.

i have question about lower point cards get their effects to be resolved first at 19:03 . what about the case of "flaming chainsaw"? the card with the point value of 9 and the text says "During this round, all other Point card effects are ignored." So that effect would never work since that is likely to be resolved the last, after all of the other effects resolved...

The rules say:if the scores are inverted when multiple players tie for the highest or lowest score, the scores of all players involved are inverted. Later on it reads: inversion effects do not apply to sudden death. What does exactly the last statement mean?

The stego is the only dinosaur that gets points from their traits I see when a meteor card is played. Even though all 5 other dinosaurs will have colors represented by the meteor, they all break even and get no points. Wonder if that makes the stego any more or less valuable?

Wow! Great video! I've been so confused about this game. I especially like how you described the meteor card as being EVERY color. Because I kept thinking it was a wild and not understanding why I couldn't choose what color it was!

There is one more question. Suppose player A plays a 0 card named Pet Rock, then player B plays an 8 card named Hungry Plant, and player C plays a normal 1 card. Suppose player A chooses to discard the 9 card in his hand, then his score will become 9, right? If player B chooses to swap the point cards of A and C, how will the points of A and C be calculated? Originally, A:0+9=9, B:8, C:1. A:0, B:8, C:0+9=9? Or A:1, B:8, C:0? Simply exchange the points card, and then the pet rock effect is gone. Or is it A:1+9=10, B:8, C:0? Who will get the pet rock's extra point effect? And C will get 0 cards named Pet Rock or the 9 card that A discarded?

I would like to ask about the timing of the instant card, for example, if player A has 5 points and player B has 6 points, then player A plays the inverse card first and then player B plays the booster card to himself. This way, A and B first exchange points to A:6 and B:5, then B adds 2 points, and finally becomes A:6 and then B:7. Or B first add two points to become A:5 and B:8, then exchange points again, finally become A:8 and then B:5 In short, is the inverse card first played first exchange, after playing out the booster and stapper will not be exchanged, or to wait for everyone's booster and stapper are calculated and then exchanged.

Thanks for the video. It explains the rules better than the paper, but it's very clear, this is a complicated card game. Try explaining to an 8 yr old all the points, dino effects, special instructions on the number cards, insta cards then to have the lows tie and battle it out, but then there's an inversion between the high and low scores, JUST to get through one round. This is too complicated for adults, rather less children!

You made it a lot clearer for me but this game is very disappointing for my little guy bc the rules are all over the place and confusing for most kids on the lower age range

What do you do when you place the same card as the other player? Like for example i put down a 7 and someone else also puts dwon a 7?

Who take first the cards at the end of the round?

I don’t understand the 0 card? It says when you play it you can discard a number card and add it to your score total. Why wouldn’t you just play the number card without playing the 0 card? Is the 0 card just garbage you want out of your hand?

Probably won't get a quick answer but what happens if someone play the upside down Dino card to switch the card with the highest and lowest after scoring but there are two poeple who are tied for highest. Can't seem to find and answer for this.

Hey thanks for the video it helped our first game cuz the rules are a little confusing. I have a question how do you play the special star fruit? I mean it effect will affect All the booster regarding the player that plays the fruit or will ONLY affect the booster from the player that play the fruits?

Dang it, you didnt cover what i wanted to see. You didnt cover the +/- 2 cards and when the inversion card comes into play. If the inversion card is played before or after those +/- 2 cards are played.
