This is exactly what I was looking for. Lot's of the other tutorials play John's vocals in the right where as this one is just the chords which is awesome
Dear Francesca Thank you for this beautiful piece of music. I am a self taught adult ( old) beginner. I have been practising this for the past 3 weeks and am pleased I can play it - just need to improve in a smoother transition between the different sections. Working on it.. thank you sooo much. You are an awesome teacher..
You have made many, many, many people's dreams of playing the piano come to life!!!!! I don't think you understand the depth of what you do for us! People can now play and sing along in a short time bc of your talent that you've FREELY shared with us!!!! May all YOUR dreams come to life! Love fr Jamaica.
I’ve watched every Imagine piano tutorial on RU-vid several times and you are definitely the best teacher. A separate graphic of the keys would be helpful but even without it you’re the best. Thank you.
It’s very clearly shown, heard and explained which keys I’m playing. Piano keys don’t light up when pressed, and it’s frustrating that too many people are reliant on that :/ Implementing another program to show light up keys would take up more editing time (and money!), and I want to keep my tutorials free 🎹
Great lesson. I really appreciate this video as I've been trying to learn this song for awhile but this is well taught at a beginner friendly pace and with a great teacher. Thanks.
Thank you so much! I don't understand why there are dislikes here, it's exactly how it is played, much appreciated @BitesizePiano. Great teacher, so far I'm onto my 5th song, not bad because I don't play often.
There are some things that she doesn’t explain - or that are confusing. Like dropping the g# b accent off the end of the verse. Or how in the left hand of the bridge, the screen shows “f f-e e-d d-c C-G ..” but she only plays the C one time, not twice. But all in all, if you have a decent ear and stick with it, ppl will figure it out and it is nicely done.
Best piano teacher, The way you break it down to allow you to grasp the melody is fantastic as it gives you an understanding of the way it should ge played, Once mastered you can then put your own spin on the way you play. Which you pick up a lot easier. Slows it down to allow you to understand the chords. Credit to you.
Decided randomly today to get back on the keys and try it out for the first time in a few years. This tutorial was the first one I found, knowing Imagine would be an easier one to pick up on, and it could not have been more helpful! Unsure if this is the original arrangement or not, but I loved learning again regardless. This has encouraged me to pick up playing as a habit again!!! Thank you!
I really like the way you break down the parts. I’m new to playing piano and you’ve helped me get comfortable with several songs (Hey Jude, Let it be, Imagine). Thank you! I heard Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys play “God Only Knows”. To my untrained ear, it sounded like it could be “BiteSized”. What do you think?
you are absolutely amazing! thank you so much for everything you do here! the slow walkthrough tutorials along with the music sheets!!! It means the world
I think the way you teach a song is very rewarding. I have been playing Imagine all this time wrong. So thank you. I will definitely be listening for more. Its a great learning tool. Again Thank you Rick
This is the first song I learned using this brilliant tutorial. So easy to follow I was playing the song the day I got my piano and was getting competent soon after. I don't usually bother with video YT tutorials and struggle to follow them, but Francesca's method is unique and suitable for all I think.
I loved the way to teach. Thank you so much. For me, you are simply the best teacher piano I ever followed ❤️ ♥️ 💖 thank you for sharing your talents with us 😍😘 God bless you more!! I won't skip the ads, and that's the only way I can you.
Thank you for all your really helpful tutorials, the way you explain the LH & RH and then both together makes it easy to follow and understand and very accessible regardless of what level the viewer is, much appreciated
I don’t believe I’ve ever seen anyone play this song with perfect finger placement as you did. You’ve helped me learn my favorite song from John Lennon. Thank you so much. I look forward to future selections from you. May I request Against the Wind by Bob Seger? Thanks again.
tnanks you for this lesson. i am french (51 years and beginner) this is very cool and i like your channel..becareful to you and continues it s very cool ..thanks
Oh this is just fantastic, thank you! Like a good few others here, I'm just starting out, and this was one of first songs I wanted to Learn. 2 days of practice and I've got all the parts down, just need to sync my left and right hands a bit better, and I'm golden. This is by far the best tutorial of the many I've gone through on RU-vid. Shall be rummaging your back catalogue now! 😂 Thank you so much. You're a wonderful teacher.
Fantastic ! Thank you.I bought myself a keyboard and have been looking for tutorials this is brilliant I could play it within an hour. You have a nice voice too
Thank you so much for all the work you put into your videos. Iv tried other instructors but I learn quickly and accurately with you. I appreciate you so much and can't thank you enough !!!
Was it raining outside when you were making this tutorial ? I hear the sound of rain in the video, it's nice though......anyway thanks for the tutorial....🙂
I m 68 bought my first piano keyboard , this is the first song I’m learning. I’m a guitar player , but a total beginner on piano, your slow tut helps me so Thank u absolutely beautiful ❤
Thank you so much for this! I skimmed through your other videos and I am loving your song selections. Many that I would like to learn. Thanks for the bites💜
Hey up Francesca, brilliant tutorial. Really straightforward to follow thanks. Is it possible to do a tutorial for " Bridge over troubled water " Many thanks
I wish having heard the snippet of your voice you had sang through this wonderful lesson..it would help immensely with the timing etc but regardless I'm working my way through it..apart from Jingle Bells this is the first song for me on keyboard..wish I started yrs ago I do however play guitar and write my own songs as I have already written one on keyboard ha ha..unlike you I don't sing that well..stay well and again ty
I began singing in my tutorials shortly after this one! Due to feeling a little self-conscious about it (I receive awful comments about my voice sometimes!).
@@BitesizePiano sorry only just saw this..yes people can be cruel I've never understood why..I until covid ran an open mic Fretz and I encourage everyone because it's nice to do so..I've put a few songs I wrote on RU-vid and on FB and I know I can sing well but it's about the lyrics and I also stopped writing songs and sharing them because of this..but young lady never give them the satisfaction. Sing your heart out because I thought it beautiful and I am sure others do too..x
At around the 8:00 mark you show the octave pattern F F-E E-D D-C C-G GG but I can't tell when to play them. I can't figure out how to incorporate it with the right hand doing the AC-F and FAC-D and BD-G. I have tried to watch your hands but still confused. I wish you had stacked them on the screen with blue and orange like some of your other videos. It's still a wonderful tutorial. I am just stuck on that part. Thank you for all the time and effort you out into these very informative and easy to follow instructions
Dear Fransca, I like your tutorials a lot. I see many songs of Adele , but I miss “make you feel my love”. Is it possible to make that? Kind regards , Henk
It was hard to sing along to the chorus coz it was played super slowly. I had to really slow down to match with the speed of the piano playing. But everything else was spot on. The intro , the verse , the bridge. I could sing along to them on the first try.
Great lesson. I’m still working on the intro. I have only been playing the piano a couple of days. Can you explain the root note please? Is it one root note at the beginning of each chord?
I am trying to learn Long and Winding Road however I am wondering if it might be easier for me to learn it in a different key - any ideas?? Your teaching is awesome!
Thank you for a great tut. A small suggestion... it would help immensely if you could hum, if not sing, the melody as you go along. It would help greatly to orientate oneself. We can hum as well, but one never knows if the timing etc is correct. Thanks, Ganny
Good morning Francesca! Is it possible to make a tutorial for Love song by Adelle? It's a beautiful song; I would like to sing it again with my own piano accompaniment. Thank you
