this video was FANTASTIC. I'm plat I, and also play China. I watch a lot of pro players matches and stuff, but when you explain the logic of every single action, it gives so much value. Thanks for that!
I love the Think like a Pro series, Valdemar! I’m still a beginner but I watch a lot of pro matches, and understanding the reasoning behind decisions is crucial. Please continue the series even further!
Great video, as always! What I really love about your videos over other AoE4 RU-vidrs is how you go over your thought process and plan your next actions, and doing it so eloquently. I’m still quite bad at this game, and as a Japanese main, not being able to place keeps in castle age often puts me at a disadvantage because I can’t implement that part of the strategy… What would be a good replacement in that scenario for map control / forward bases? Overwhelming with large numbers?
If you play Japanese FC you will find that playing Knights + Archers will work well. Then after, if the opponent reacts correctly, you can do a switch to full onna bugeisha if your food economy allows
Fantastic guide. I’m playing ayyubids and I struggle to know which things to pick in which order for the age ups. I’ve been running lances and archers mainly and it’s worked well but I’m totally new to the game so if you know a better combo I’m all ears. Thanks for the guides been watching them all!
I'm a bronze player, and it is painful to be this bad in a game, as I think of myself as quite good at other games. This video was beneficial, thank you.
I learned a lot, thanks to the detailed and logical video as usual. I'm curious about the advice when facing Ottomans, especially when they have a significant number of siege units prepared. 28:47 You said: 1. rather stop producing siege units. 2. cover the Great Bombards with surplus melee units. In this game, you aged up to Imperial quicker than him and secured RST upgrades first, making siege battles pretty easier. But in a situation where aging up is slower and the opponent has already secured a few Mangonels and Great Bombards, along with numerous Springalds, how should I respond? Such a variation makes it chaotic for me to choose what to do next, despite having won several fights in the previous age and having many more villagers and melee units prepared. Since using horsemen against Ottomans is not an option at all, I'm curious about ways to turn the game around. In most cases, I crash down after seeing the Great Bombards coming, no matter how much I was ahead of him until. (I play English, much ease dealing Ottomans until 3rd age but 4th age really hurts.)
Very nice guide. Why didn't you use the imperial palace ability to spot his villagers when you started to raid his base? I mean you found them pretty quickly but that skill makes the whole process much more effective.
Nice Video! A question: If you sensed the game wouldn't be over within the next few minutes would you have gone into traders earlier? I noticed the gold mines on you side were almost empty by the end of the game.
Hey thanks for the tips, they are extremely helpful after watching this I was able to defeat someone that is level 260 when I was having a hard time with level 130 people, and my late game sucked until now
Hey Valdemar, If you have time and you fancy it: can you make a video on English 3 TC build please? Saw it being used at a high lvl but never found a good build order for it. D: I like to play boom and although the feudal longbowman build is effective I don't really like it D:
