GM Alex Lenderman makes an outstanding introduction to how to play with the isolated pawn structure, explains the main strategies to follow and the examples are excellent. Congratulation I really like it

Qb1 at 14:34 was completly shocking for me. I couldn't find this move. Instead I only thought about Rxg6+. I noticed strong players often make these moves where they put a piece on a slightly better square or add them to the attack and build their position. That is something I need to train on. I tend to forget such "quiet" moves especially after a sacrifice when the attack is rolling and I have the feeling like I have no time for improving pieces anymore

Thank You Mr. Lenderman! Until now I always tried to avoid playing with an isolated pawn. Time for change...

Tal played symetrical Tarrasch. If you can tell us something about Tarrasch defense, main line, or symetrical variation, it would be very helpfull.

VERY VERY nice video!! Let me ask something if you may, at 13:47 could white play immediatelly Qxh5 ? after gxh5 Bf6+ is that a mate or i miss something?
@Chessfactor
@Chessfactor 3 года назад
Hi Nick, you are right he could play immediately Qxh5 but it is only a mate if black would capture back with gxh5. The move sequence you mentioned is also correct for the checkmate. In case he captures back, Bf6+ is mate. However, if black does not capture the Queen on h5 and instead captures whites bishop with …Bxg5, White needs to recapture with the Rook Rxg5 and wins a piece. Otherwise if he captures with the Queen instead of the rook, Qxg5, he is losing his advantage after …Qxg5 Rxg5 f6. It is really great that you follow the games in detail. This will definitely help you to improve your chess!
@DeathAbove86
@DeathAbove86 3 года назад
@@Chessfactor thank you for your reply! Indeed, after ...Bxg5, white should capture with the Rook, very nice detail! Your videos have helped me to improve my whole perception about chess!
