I ain't no Django but I had to get used to using mostly just 2 fingers for a while. I had a little KNIFE accident and I couldn't use the ring finger for a while.

I got a treble hook stuck in my index finger on fretboard hand and had to get it cut out. It took a couple of months to get back to 💯 it really sucked

I have had to play in stage with band aids on my fingers. It's doable, but ya gotta change em out every set. . Seriously. Lol

Better idea. Be more careful with knives snd take advantage of all four fingers and be grateful you have them. Btw, I used to work in the cutting center at a hardware store and cut myself almost daily. NOTHING works better than putting hydrogen peroxide on a small cotton ball and taping it over the cut. It will heal in a day or two. You're welcome.
