These steps do not apply to banned accounts. All digitally owned games on your PS4 will remain locked out. Several days after an account is banned games will be locked. Because the owner can not log onto the PSN and connect to the licensing server. Even though the gamer has payed for a game. That player will not be able to play it. Sony can virtually steal hundreds if not thousands of dollars from a gamer if their account is banned. I strongly recommend to never purchase digital content.
I half agree with you . But i'd only buy digital cause I can play the games right at 12AM without additional downloads & i'm not dumb enough to get banned. & also because of Gamesharing.
To make things clear, GameShare isn'tI illegal whatsoever and it doesn't no go against PlayStations policies. The only reason you can get ban from game sharing is messaging your ps accout info in the playstation network which DOES go agaisnt their policy btw. BUT you can avoid that To avoid getting ban from gameshare well, you can only get ban from gamesharing if you are sharing your ps account info into the PlayStation network. You have to do it outside the playstation network to avoid ban. so you can gameshare with whoever you 100% trust and not get ban. just as long as you communicate OUTSIDE The PlayStation Network. again, it isn't Illegal and their isn't a policy against it. Its perfectly fine. I hope this clears this up for everyone.
i restored licences ,, i deactivated my acc also and my friend that gaved me games have also deactivated primary ,, i was doin this before idk why it dont work

Hello, I have a problem : I have a ps+ account and I want to play games my brother downloaded when he had ps+ but he doesn't have it anymore , what should I do ? Please help.
Did this, now ALL my downloaded games are locked, not just the one I recently downloaded. edit: Deactivating as my primary PS4 and then reactivating did the trick.
@@compaerik8568 Should be fairly straightforward, assuming you are not game sharing. Go to Settings, go to Account management, then select the "Deactivate as your Primary PS4" option. I think you'll be logged out, and then the PS4 will do some kind of updating. Afterwards, log in again with your primary account, go to Settings, then Account management again, select "Activate as my Primary PS4". Now things should work again. There's also an official guide and video on this by Sony, google it if it's still unclear.

I downloaded my games digitally and recently my account got banned. And it’s not letting me play my games because I downloaded them on the suspended account
I gameshared a game (dbxv2) with 2 people i can't play on my main.. I tried the restore licenses did not work either.. & i won't try the 1st solution since they give me games too.
As far as I know, when restoring your licenses, the remaining 10 seconds of the restoration should go down by 3 seconds or lower. Also, the number of licenses should go up by approximately 10 or 20 digits throughout the entire restoration including the end. If you watch my video below, you'll notice when the last 7 seconds of the restoration are remaining, it skips down to 1 second, then 0 seconds. During this process, the number of licenses being restored exceeds approximately 20 digits by going up by approximately 100 digits. For example, under Restoring licenses... it goes from 669/765 (7 Seconds Left) all the way to 764/765 (1 Second Left) to 765/765 (0 Seconds Left) to conclude the restoration. Watch carefully at the end of my video below and you'll see what I mean. My point is that what's happening at the end of the restoration of my licenses is really strange for me and might not be normal. The issue could be that at the end of the restoration of my licenses, it probably skips restoring the license for a specific game that I own and maybe the license for it is glitched. Do you think that this issue would go back to normal eventually or is it stuck like this? Please give me your feedback and let me know if other people had this happen to them too. GucciGang yo we found a solution. You need to set your friends account as primary and after That you should not log in to his account and he should not change his password
Hey man I have a question I hope you can help me with. So long story short, I had a buddy who lived with me that I used to game share with. He moved out and didn't have any games to share with me anyway (just did it so we could play my games together) I never had an issue sharing with him. Well, recently, he moved out and I have another buddy staying with me now. We're both heavy into Soul Calibur so I'm game sharing with him now so we can play each other and train up. I deactivated my other buddy from the game share and I set everything up correctly with the activating/deactivating and restoring licenses. For some reason though every time we finish a sesh and try to play again he's locked out. We can usually get it to work again after he signs into mine and activates it again then restores. Then he logs me out goes on with his account and then I log in and reactivate mine while he's on the game with his. I've never had this issue before and it's pretty annoying, I'm also afraid that PSN might ban me for "suspicious activity" Do you know of anyway to remedy this?

Jeffry Saul Nope! I shared my PS plus with my friends and I got banned but when I logged out of my account from my friends PS4 and waited like almost 2 years I got unbanned.

Please help me out with this.. I am very worried and helpless right now, I tried all above.. With me the thing happend, I purchased games frm a frnd via game share, followed steps and played for like a week daily, later one day I saw all those games locked.. When opened says same, the game can only be played by that user and, when I went to his account it prompts me with signing in.. And the ID and password what I was Given is changed.. And the frnd is just not responding.. Have I been fooled.?
Does this still work for if the primary account you used to buy games is banned? I've gotten perma banned recently without any explanation as to why I did, and then a day after I was banned ALL my digital download games were locked. That's 6 years of content I spent on. Ridiculous that they dont stop at just banning the account, but locking all the games I paid for with it. My ps4 is essentially a brick that I've put 2,000 dollars into at this point.
Just tried the first method, but they sign-in id section is greyed out and wont let me sign in so I tried the second method but my game is still locked. Does anyone have anyother ideas or should I try contacting sony?

I had to go on to the account that it was locked on and then go on the ps store and click the try game trial button. After that it unlocked. Tried this guys suggestions but to no avail
