Marty, in 2010 I broke my Neck. I have a very hard time walking so most of my time is in my chair. I am 58 years old and was always a very active person before my injury. after I got hurt over the years I could not stand being limited to things I could do. My Wife got me a guitar a couple of years ago thinking it might help me from being bored at Home all day by myself. Only thing I didn't know how to play. I pretty much have taught myself to play with the help of the Internet. I use your site and have gotten so much joy from learning so many songs. The way you show how to play and how you keep it simple for those of us who haven't been playing along time is great. I only wish I had learned to play years ago. Just wanted to say THANKS!! and to tell you what you are doing has help Me through some hard times. Thanks again Marty. Joe, Mobile Al.

+Joe Shell hey Joe, sorry I just got this. Sorry to hear about your injury, but very happy that you are now playing guitar. Music surely will cure what ails you. I'm so glad I could help you learn and pass the time. I can say for sure that playing music has also helped me through some really tough times as well. It does not judge, or make you feel guilty or physically harm You, all it does it bring joy to those who play it and also those who listen. Keep on strumming and good luck to you. Awesome marty you are a great teacher. yep, there are many on youtube. You the only one that makes me say darn i gotta try this...that is like moving a mointain i so lazy. Marty, you're da man.....thanks for all of your tutorials.....I am from Bosnia and your covers are so easy to learn and follow.....all I need to do right now is find someone to sing proper English while I play guitar.....otherwise, if I start to sing it is gonna sound like Russian dude is giving his best and no one knows what is going on.....

yeah you play it different than I do a step down from g to some kind of f# then to a Dm instead of D.but everybody does have their own way for sure.love seeing your videos

+PartyMarty EasyGuitarTunes Thank you Very Much, i guess i missed it Lol, I just finished watching it! And it was incredible!! Oh and Love Yourself by JB pretty excellent as well! Ps. I read the comment someone posted on the Justin Bieber video you recently did about it supposedly "Not Being Cool".... Just forget the haters... They obviously don't know talent when its literally right in front of their eye balls!!! It was a great request from your 8 year old daughter.. But i do agree it was a stretch from your music on your channel... But who gets to say its "not cool" because it certainly was a good tutorial and cover!! Just keep this in mind: haters gonna hate, but they are not real supporters ... There just people who are desperate for attention!

Dunlop .88's, those are the only picks I ever used. I don't know why, I've just always liked them. Hope that helps

You can skip the runs and it still sounds ok, but the Gmaj7 is at the heart of the song, it has to be there.

I think there are chords missing........it's a little strange.......some parts sound really strange.........some chords are missing and some chords are wrongs..........if you listen to the original song you'll surely realize it!!!!!

You’re right. Marty seems such a nice guy that I don’t like to criticise him. However, this version is well off the mark in several places. I’ve read Marty’s comment to the effect that ‘whatever works for you is good’. I disagree. It’s either right or it’s wrong. This version of ‘Lyin’ Eyes’ is simply wrong in several ways. Nobody should try and learn the song from this rendition of it.
