Man you can copy from NTFS USB format drives with Iris Manager forks like Monster Manager or with Multiman using the file manager build inside those apps.
Controller 2 isn't working. Even if I try to bind the buttons in the game settings, it doesn't respond as if it's not even detecting the 2nd controller. Anyone else having this problem?
Do you unzip the files before you put them in the Mame folder ? Cause I did but once I open MmCM and do the root file the roms show up with ? Mark's and not stars like yours what am I doing wrong

I have version 4.89, and using CXE for PS3. The problem I am having is finding PS1 core and PS2 core on retroarch. I went to download load core and do not see sony or ps1&ps2. Could you guide me in the right direction. Or should I down load PCSX for ps3

I don't know why but can you help me if U can BC I've encounted some problems with a lot of Roms and they don't work. When I boot the games from USB the screen goes blank and stays blank. And then I have to restart. S if U can plz help me.
Hey dude, I was wondering if you could help me. Been looking EVERYWHERE for the answer. In Mame2003 on the ps3 my up direction button and up joystick direction bring up that in-game menu (the one that you hold the start button to bring up). How do I change the up direction to the Start button (in order to get to that menu)?

I took my old vintage PS3 and installed the 4.85.1 Overflow firmware. Then I installed Retroarch . However, when I start Retroarch, the screen blinks a couple of times then reverts back to the XMB. Is the current version of Retroarch for the PS3 compatible with that version of the firmware? If not, which version do you recommend for running Retroarch? Thanks.
Mudguppie Im not to sure since I always use REBUG CFW, I would maybe try an older build if your using the latest one such as 1.7.8 you can try 1.7.7 or 1.7.6
Nagato's Revenge : I installed version 1.71 of Retroarch and it made no difference. I’m just wondering if there’s an incompatibility between CFW 4.85.1 Overflow and Retroarch. I need to figure out if and how I can install a different CFW in my PS3.
Hello again, I did downgrade my PS3 CFW to 4.82 and, it made no difference. Retroarch won’t run and PSMAME abends into an error code 80010017. I have no games installed yet, I just wanted to get the GUI running. Do I need to have any games installed to get the Retroarch GUI? Is it correct that the version of Retroarch needs to be compatible with the version of the game ROMS? Do you know if the current version of PS3 Retroarch on their site works with 4.82 CFW? Great video, do you have a link where to get the MAME roms? I try to use the roms from a random site, I extract them and then copy them to the ps3 HDD. but they do not play, all I get is a black screen. Im I suppose to extract them? or the ps3 can run from the ZIP ?
I have downlaoded RetroArch pkg file from here and i installed on my PS3 SuperSlim with HEN. The problem is that i have only Arcade (MAME 2000) i dont have MAME 2003. When i try to load content in Load Archieve i have only Arcade (MAME 2000) and Arcade (FB alpha 2012) I think thats the reason i cant play MAME games, my PS3 freeze when i try to load content with MAME 2000. Pls help me!
How do yo you play street fighter 2 in original resolution of 384×224 I've wanted to know for years. I've got the hang of adding filters and sorting the aspect ratio. But the resolution is wrong. I need 384×224 somehow.
@@benjiroberts4434 there is a way on retroarch with pc, search retroarch native resolution, or retroarch interger scaling. Its on a new build of retroarch that lets you display the intended machines original resolution.. But i think it uses some tricks to pull it off, pulls it off well though and only a matter of time before this feature makes its way to console's. It might be a good idea to update to latest version of retrarch and see whats changed for yourself.
i downloaded final fight arcade game and tried using mame 2003 plus but in my usb folder i have the files in bin format i have a bunch like 10 what do i do now?, do i load jus 1? if so how can the system load all files or the whole game knowing im only able to select 1 bin file at once?
I had the same problem, but I managed to find compatible ROMs here: Make sure you are using the "MAME 2003" core in Retroarch. archive.org/details/MAME2003_Reference_Set_MAME0.78_ROMs_CHDs_Samples On the right side of the page under 'Download Options' click on 'ZIP' and a huge list of ROMs will appear under it and you can click a ROM to download it. Finding specific ones is a little tricky though because only the file names are shown and some of the game titles are shortened (Ex: 'dkong.zip' 'dkngjr.zip' 'ddragon.zip') but doing a search on the page helps (ctrl+f on Windows). Every ROM I've tried from there works!
I think this is a common bug with retroarch on PS3 for some reason I also ran into this issue I would try a older build perhaps, or maybe a nightly build
