@@warbilby Depends on the stage of the Flood infestation. Feral stage could just be reflavored undead. I'm considering basing a Gravemind on an aboleth or something. The hard part would be figuring how much to buff them while still keeping the game balanced. Edit: Warforged are totally susceptible to the logic plague.

For the Flood, have a look at Zee Bashew's video about zombies. Just sayin'.

Well to properly put it he was flashed cloned and he was taken while the clone was left behind to take his place so nobody knew he was missing. I don't think if it's known if his flash clone is still alive or how long it was alive as in the books their was a story of one female sparten who ran away and found her family as an adult and confronted her clone. The clone was alive and a young adult although she was handicapped and chair ridden if i remember correctly due to, well, being a flash clone that was supposed to die early on but somehow kept on living. This proves that flash clones could live full lives albeit with near 100% chances for major physical or mental disabilities.

No, he was kidnapped for the SPARTAN-II program, while ONI left a flash clone in his place, as they did with all Spartan candidates. The clones died after a number of weeks after the mass kidnapping

Granted I will note that it's really disappointing that True Strike is bad, just because I remember back in 3.5 when True Strike gave you a +20 to a single attack, which... Granted, still had the issue of "Taking a standard action in order to improve an attack you make next round", but it's still a +20 rather than just a reroll.

for my own take on the "Fire Emblem" stats, I'd say that... Master Chief would be a Lord (Or at least... a character that is precious enough to the plot that they can afford to be kinda overpowered, since I know from 3 houses that lords tend to be more powerful than most other units, but that's balanced out by the fact that you HAVE to take them, and if they DO manage to kick the bucket then you instantly lose the battle) His primary skills would be in Black Magic and Swords: I note Black Magic instead of Archery simply because I think that similar to how this build uses artificer and wizard spells to represent the sci-fi guns, so too would most of his weapons would end up turning to Spells in a FE type of setting. (And Swords just because that's what Lords do) Another advantage of making him a Lord is that I can just make up a unique class to be his Great Lord Equivalent, a sort of Magic Lord that's really good at tearing enemies apart with both magic and melee attacks whilst not necessarily being incredibly frail either. His only real weakness would be the fact that he's a jack of all trades and a master of none, a Lysithea-esque blaster mage will probably deal more magical damage, a strong Swordmaster will more consistently double enemies and take them down and avoid counterattacks from those who survive, and a strong Armor Knight will probably out-tank him, but the Chief would be a character that can easily fit into anyone's army because he can do just about anything (And hell, if it's like 3 houses, you could even just decide to send him down a more specialized path) Edit: Also, if Crests were in the game he'd totally have 2 crests and the whole "I was experimented on as a child" thing... So basically my Fire Emblem Master Chief would be what I wanted Edelgard to be, a strong tanky spellsword type.

@@aquamarinerose5405 For Chiefs stats, I'd polarize him a little bit more. Still all-arounder, but I'd bump up his defense (the guy has been known to survive drops from space) and luck (in the novels, Cortana picks chief as she believes not that he is better than the other spartans in any way... But is blessed with good luck that always gives him a way out), but I'd give him poor resistance (in the games, shields were weak to plasma- if they are now spells, then his shields are now resistance). Such a set up would make him able to utterly annihilate infantry and armor, as he has the magic to hit their weak spot and luck helps boost magic in particular, but the player would have to be mindful of mages as without strong spells chief's only viable option himself is to get in close, which puts him at risk of being struck hard by the enemy spell caster if he can't one shot it. Even worse if they extend past 2 range. Personally I'd also give him slightly below average speed, but he isn't particularly slow to begin with, just not as mobile compared to other shooter protagonists.

Probably not much. The subclass is stupid good, but if the wild soul barbarian and astral self monk can make it, then anything can.

@@Marb315 you know, I'm not 100% sure, but considering the number of new subclasses and how few monk UAs there have been I'd say it's at least extremely likely.

@@geoffbarnes2590 They said 22 Subs are gonna be in. I think that included a Reprint of Bladesinger, but otherwise that pretty much means every subclass we got this year, besides the revamped/canablized one's like the Abbarrent/Psionic Soul.

In the novels he runs up to like, 40mph, even before Halo 2 released. So even without the sprint it fits.

Ironically, the OP characters's canonical power is exactly what holds them back. You cannot be good at everything in life-or in DND-so when building for them, Tulok has to assign them some weak spots to make the build even possible.

I'd say Shifter (Longtooth or Swiftstride) for the partial transformation, Beast Master Ranger with a boar for Mondu and when you get 4 Level Spell Slots get Guardian of Nature for the Mega transformation. Maybe put some Levels in Monk too and reflavor the Astral self a bit (don't ask me to justify the radiant/necrotic damage from the arms).

He has a second channel with is gf so yeah

It's more of a slash weapon, but when assassinating with it, it can be a stabby weapon. It works more or less like a lightsaber. Good for either one, it's a matter of preference for the user.

It feels like a short sword version of a Sun Blade, imo.

@@JessieShadowhold That's a fair point, though I meant that most in more specific regard to Artificer since, Shockingly, Artificers cannot make sun blades.

Also it's Energy Sword.

I don't know if Akechi has the Wisdom to be a monk. He's deceived pretty easily.

@@kbowman772 NORMALLY, I'd agree, but Way of the Astral Self is BASICALLY giving your character a Persona or Stand, plus the damage types associated are ABSOLUTELY PERFECT

Thematically, the closest Cleric has to Oathbreaker is the Death Domain, as the DMG suggests it to be used for 'evil counterpart' villains in the same way Oathbreaker is used for Paladin.

​@@danielmcpherson3891 Unarmed attacks are not weapons but can be used to make a melee weapon attack. IE: A raging barbarian gets bonus damage to melee weapon attacks using strength, because of this he can get the bonus using his fists. However if a monk wanted to cast green-flame blade(yes I know they don't get that normally), he would have to be wielding a weapon as the spell requires a melee weapon to cast, which fists are not.

Sage Advice states that you cannot Smite on unarmed strikes.

I think either Shortsword or Rapier would be better, as you never wield the Energy Sword with 2 hands and finesse works better with the build prior to Level 14.

He *can* use them, he just won't get his proficiency bonus with them. But with 21 Strength and the ability to make them magical +2 weapons, would he even really care?

Dylan Dugan depends on what your fighting and I think we all know that Master chief is fighting them world ending level threats.

Hell, he's only naturally proficient with the Light Crossbow. Hand & Heavy are martial. If you do this with good stat rolls, we might actually have a character that would like to take the Weapon Master feat.

I'd love to him build a gunslinging character, but he reflavors guns as crossbows. Which would still be interesting, but to me, it loses something in translation

@@franciscoaguirre96 yea MC should have a Luck Feat, and this build subtitutes his gear with features. I was thinking more of the monkey build (not full though). His gear and guns have equivalents in Dnd
