Awesome to see an updated guide! Not for this guide, but on your "top 5 guides for Metera" the advice about abusing 5H and using the L.Butterfly-623M and M.Butterfly->623L sequences were very helpful. Still only S+ on her but hoping to work up to Masters eventually. Defense really feels like the hardest thing about learning her, especially for certain characters like Seox.
Be proud that you got S+ on her. Reaching S+ is not nothing in this game. To get to Master in this game is not a feat most players will be able to achieve but definitely keep at it. I'm only at A myself and I doubt I'll ever get Master but I'm gonna keep trying.
I'm new to the franchise and I'm loving this character. 100% invested on her. Thank you so much for everything! Little tip for the seox mu if anyone is struggling: if you see them jumping and about to do the ex closer, just hit S. Gets you airborne and it's a free punish!
I appreciate the guide greatly and I'm gonna go restructure the way I've been doing stuff on this character now. Time to bookmark this video and study! Thanks Sol
yoo this is fire there was literally no guide on this character. I dont care about tier lists I just play what I think is fun and def Metera is the one for me
Great guide as always Sonic. I feel a good inclusion to the video will be showcasing what you said in an actual match thus showing how you put into practice what you just said.
Managed to recently reach A3 with her, though now covering around A4. Super fun character, way harder to play than most (not counting someone like Narmaya) and some matchups really feel like a coin toss between either a struggle or effortless, depending on who's playing the character (like cagliostro who can just jump on top of you OR prevent from jumping and shooting from safe distance, not to mention her Ex spike reaching super far).
I wish you played Yuel so you could make an amazing guide. Still going to watch this guide because your character guides are some of the best out there
I'd love if you could display the looping combo inputs at 37:58 - hard to decipher everything that's going on 😅thank you for this guide, extremely helpful to get started with Metera
This might be scrublow talking, but I have used 2u to slide under people who are jumping. If I know they are jumping but can block my anti airs, and I'm in the corner for example I use it regain spacing. I'm not confident enough to use some of the other anti air options.
it'd be really helpful if you listed out the combos you talked about. I know they're on the side of the screen but your camera covers most of it up so it becomes difficult to parse them out. great video though!
@@SonicSol I feel like the actual question here was which of her tools to best utilise for eventually getting out of corner pressure. Doing nothing but blocking will get you nowhere (or rather, it will get you thrown).^^
@MakiMaki. I wasn't being rude to him. You have to block. She has no reversal until 50 meter. You can try to fuzzy mash or fuzzy jump but you have to block. Her defensive options aren't good. Period. Block then after blocking and the opponent is far enough, press a button try to jump out. What you choose depends on the opponent. No right answer.
Man, I really wanted to buy this game, but I'm playing BG3 and won't be done until mid-January, then Prince of Persia and TLOU2 comes out after that, Grand Blue Relink 29th with a pre order. I can buy more games but not time and that makes me sad for fighting games.
Yoooooooooo let's go!!! Hell yeah I was hoping for this. I mean I'm prob still dropping her for Nier because I'm a tier whore but it'll help my pocket Metera for sure
@@SonicSol Ok, nice. How do you get the PS4 button prompts? I play with a PS5 controller for example and the game shows PS5 AND XBOX prompts both simultaneously.
Good video, but her neutral is so damn bad that it is almost impossible to play. I mean, I am new to fighting games, but damn, she feels so damn slow and has to work 10x times more than most of the characters. It is frustrating to deal with characters that ignore your entire kit with one button. Her kit is the most fun for me to play but also the most frustrating one, since it feels unfair to fight against characters that ignore what you are supposed to do.
