By far one of the best tutorials, you make it so easy to understand! Could you possibly consider do Those Nights by Skillet? Amazing video, keep it up!
Just some practical advice if you plan to play this on stage in a set list with other songs in standard tuning: No need for drop C. Play in drop D and just play the C in 2nd inversion across the D A D strings. It actually sounds thicker than the album because of the 4th being on the bottom instead of the 5th.
Hi, my name it’s Sophie and my age is 11 and I love to play electric and acoustic guitar and these video it’s the best tutorial that I ever seen. Aturn 3d rocks 🤘🤙😈 🎸
Hey man, what gauge strings do you use for this song? I have 10s, but I think they're too light for this song. And what effects are you using for this song?
it's pretty annoying that he doesn't answer comments, I would love to know the amp settings and pedal type/settings but judging by the lack of responses in the comments it seems pretty unlikely. :/
I'm new to guitars, I thought the strings were ebgdae. I didn't know there was a C string. Or does it depend on the guitar? I want to learn to play because it looks so fun, and I really want to play my favorite skillet songs. And monster is easily one of my favorites. Any advice would be awesome and appreciated.
Hi, and yes, ebgdae is standard tuning. But for some songs, you have to tune the guitar differently. If you just look up on google "how to tune guitar to drop C" it'll show you how:)
Hey, I currently have the Epiphone Les Paul Player Pack Ebony guitar kit (costed me around 250 dollars) including an amp. I'm mostly playing (hard) rock and metal on this guitar, but I just can't get the sound like it should be... I''m really wondering why. Would you recommend me to buy a better amp to increase the sound quality, or would it be better to purchase an multi-effect pedal (since I don't have one yet)? Or is it maybe best to just buy a whole new (more expensive) guitar?
I wanna know how to play guitar so bad but I can barely read music especially the number things. I only know the notes with the first two strings and the first 3 frets
Ok so you have prob figured it out by now but yeah first fret all the way up by where you tune it and as the go down from there they increase so the one below first fret is second fret so on and so fourth and you can get away with playing this on the sixth cord or the thickest cord only and from there you follow what he does and the dead notes are just picking your guitar with your finger on the string but not pushing it all the way down so it won’t make very much noise hope this helps and I’m still relatively new so pros correct me if I’m wrong 😄
The part after the chorus sounds so much like the part after the chorus of Animal i have become (Three Days Grace) like, it's almost the same but with the 5-7 instead of the 7-8-7-8-7 walk xD
i use my sisters electric guitar I'm trying to learn this song since its just bar chords but I cant get the sound right I tuned it by tuning each string to a note on my keyboard and it sounds exactly the same but the electric guitar tone is wrong so it sounds more like a normal acoustic guitar than the high electric sound like the song can someone help?
I have a big VOX amp and I dont know how to tune it to match the sound of the song(Cuz I usually have my guitar on Standard tuning so I dont really mess with my amp so much). Can you help me?
Hii Im a newbaby, I play with a roland cube 30, for this song I play with treble 8, mid 5, bass 4, gain 9 and R-fier (in drop C) But it doesn't sound right :/ it sounds like a very deep doemmm, like a bass.. i have this problem with more songs I attwnted to play, how do I fix this?
Joshua Wolfenbarger The way that I do the mute is just lightly place your fingers over the strings, (like you are trying to bar them) not hard enough to actually hold them against the fretboard, but just so they make no noise. :) Hope this helps
