Thank you so much for going into so much detail and with such patience. I started of saying "get on with it" but within 2 minutes I totally retracted that - a great piece of online tuition that recreates the original - thank you.

I am frrreaking out!!! I have the right hand part down, I actually can play the right hand part! If there was a little piggy squealing emoji, I would be typing 15 of them right now. Thank you so much for making this video, oh my goodness, oh God! Dreams come true.
Kind of a misleading title that this piano part was "by Cat Stevens". While the song was on his album ,the producer didn't like to give credit to session musicians. Cat Stevens only had a very small portion of the song figured out. This piano part you are demonstrating is composed and played entirely by Rick Wakeman. Not only was he not credited but he was also not even paid at the time for this incredible work. Eventually Cat was shamed into paying him the very small fee he owed. Shameful.
@daviddesilva911 1 second ago OMH thank you so very much for sharing Part One of this glorious hymn by Cat Stevens. I wrote down all the notes and I can play it quite well now thanks to this tutorial. How can I continue with part 2 please? Thanks
that's a subscribe. Thanks for this! I used to play my casio keyboard as a kid. Now i"m getting a full 88 keyboardf midi as a gift to myself. THis will help me get my muscle memory back!
the piano part was played by Rick Wakeman, most famous for his work with the band Yes... he also played the piano part in the song, "changes," by david bowie...
I have the CD from when it was originally released. Taught myself how to play this and have loved his piano and vocal cover of this song forever. Great job on your tutorial 🙂!!
Thank you very much ❤ I play this Song on my harp but Without the intro, because it was too difficult. With your Video now I am learning the intro. Very good explications
Hello, I have a question on using the pedal in the verses. Do you hold the last note from each chord while pressing the pedal, so the note rings out with the basnote of the new chord (sounds not clean), or do you lift your finger up from the last note, so you stop the last note before using the pedal. You get a kind of staccato feel with the chord before playing the new chord, which starts with the basnote, but this sounds more clean and right. I think this is how you play this kind of rythem?
Great tutorial.... I look forward to playing it. It was a great shame Rick Wakeman never got credit for that piano piece. He turned a short mediocre song into a great song.

Hello, does exist from you also a version in C-Major ?Or when I become a membership will it be possible to get an transformation version in C for the whole song? I ask because I bought notes in C otherwise I must buy notes a second time in D. Please tell me what is possible.
Our mission is to teach people their favorite songs _without_ written notation. However, making sheet music as a part of our internal workflow, so *we sell them on Musicnotes to those interested.* You'll find corresponding sheets for most of our tutorials by searching the song name + "HDpiano" in their catalog. Hope this helps!
