This video explains how to set up voicemeeter potato OR banana to be able to use it in vrchat to play music through your mic to dance, hangout with friends or even alone or whatever you wanna do. This can be applied to any other platform with voice chat such as roblox, discord, or even fortnite.

Make sure A AND B are both selected under "Virtual Input."

@@consort0fshadows607my bad that should be on by default but if it is not, make sure the A1 is that green color the gain sliders are. Basically like its “lit up”

This really helped me I did everything and my friends have heard the music my only problem is that now it's echoing and I don't know how to fix it. I can hear my voice and others can hear the echo. any tips on how to fix it?

if you try to run this through virtual desktop this isn't going to be able to work for you that i'm aware of!! Sorry for not addressing that in the video!

you have to play a song first, and than pause it to show up, also u need the desktop version! hope that helped

This is a great tutorial. However when you forget a simple step within the recording of the tutorial, it makes things just a little harder than it already is. 1:38 What in the hell do you mean by "copy settings for the middle panel"? I'm seriously lost. I've got ALMOST everything but I'm not getting any sound from VRChat.

Have you made one for how to play guitar through Your Mic In VRChat, or would I do it the same way except instead of picking Spotify, I would use my audio interface (That my guitar [or external mic, etc.] would be plugged into) and pick that? Thanks for this video regardless. Jam on!

@@mayapurnell613 No, i haven't figured it out. I installed "voicemod" in order to eventually do it but you have to download music and then put it in the voicemod soundboard. That works at least

im trying to do it on gorilla tag and when i do it spotify is in the right channel but gorilla tag is in the same channel so people can hear them selfs and if i mute it or turn it down i cant hear in game

you just didnt have your VR turned on before you opened voicemeeter, if you just click a1 while its blinking and reselect your headset or whichever you're playing audio through, it will fix it

you have to have the desktop version for spotify, than start playing a song and than pause it , it will show up!

in your input channel where you selected your mic, at the very bottom of that channel, there is a mute button :)

What if I want it to play off my computer mic instead of my headset mic? Also how come when you talk your audio bars go up in hardware 1 but when I talk nothing happens. And the fact that when I do what you did, I can't hear anything but apparently voicemeeter picks it up, but when I change it so I can hear it, voicemeeter doesn't pick it up?
