I’ve done this for years …you set the difficulty….accessories…tendencies….player lock 🔒……you get some incredible gameplay if you do it right ….always fun and always FREE!!!! 🔥💯👌
For real though this is the way 2k is supposed to be played... with the freedom and fun of controlling and customising your own league experience and all those cool little features and detail that made 2k the choice for basketball gaming back then... rather than the crazy ass cash grab of mycareer where they take all your money for even the most simple things, Kudos for showing us how to do it 🙏🙏🙏
another thing ive done is placing the created player in a draft class and simulating a season til the draft and that way you get drafted to a random team in the lottery, something ive found fun if you wanna start from a losing franchise and try to elevate them
Thank you so much for this. The slog of MyCareer was killing me. I just want to create a new guy and put him on my favorite team and win us a goddamn championship!
This is so much fun get to put what overall you want on your player and its free instead of wasting so much money to upgrade the player its a lot of fun and there isn’t a story line so this is cool
I like to set him as like a 79 overall as a rookie and just put his potential at 99 and sim some games and play some on player lock and you can get through his career as slow or as fast as you want!
To take it a step further, create your player than put yourself in a draft class. I would sim at least 2 seasons and with that you can play in a random team. More realistic. Also, you can download a NCAA 2kshare setups so you can play one season of college ball.
@@trevorkennedy7565 You can edit a draft class and create your player in the class. Wait til it's their draft, and user select them after they've been drafted to a team.
I made my own roster and traded many legends from the all time teams to normal teams so now I play with/against all the great players. It’s honestly so lit. I’ve never played in online leagues before, is it possible to player lock in those as well against other players?
Thanks man, I'm new to the game and I dont want to bother getting vc, and I dont care about the storyline so this is the best way I can enjoy my first year on 2k. Deserved sub! The only thing I want to know is if I want to change teams how would I follow my player?
Lol idk anyone who’s plays MYCareer anymore it’s usually just to get a 99 overall in park. But this does help test out players tendencies if I want to player lock on MyTeam 🤓
Something I’m doing is I’m doing ONE season in MyCareer, then I’m going to copy all my attributes and badges and everything over to a created player in a draft class for MyLeague. My overall is gonna be based on my performance in MyCareer, so are badges and whatnot.
Are you able to enter the player into the draft in a particular era? I want to create a player and enter them into the 2002 draft and play through the Kobe era with that player on player lock, but I don't want to simply pick a team, I want to go to whichever team drafts the created player. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Yes just create a draft class and add your created player to that draft class. Then when you start your new Mynba make sure you pick the starting point to be before the draft and make sure you load your draft class
Once you lock your player and play some games, can you upgrade him whenever you want how much you want, or your player earn some sort of xp to upgrade him gradually?
@@RuthlessDK right, but I assume you wouldn’t be able to work through free agency like you would in mycareer. You’d just have to switch to whatever team the player ends up signing for?? I’ve been hating all the cut scenes and “quests” .. lol
@@user-tb9gi3lm5o yes it’s pretty easy. Just find the team you want to sign to and switch to user control them. And if all else fails just make a trade and in the settings make it to where you can force trades
@@RuthlessDK did you know if you take the stats of your 99 park build and place it in the myleague. ?? It becomes a lv 87. So over all we are NOT 99 overall in 2ks eyes. My center is 87 and my pg is 88 both are 99 on the park
You can even use real players and use them in career mode, i like to choose rookies or upcoming players and you should have an upgrade system which would make it way more realistic. So of ypu score a certain amount of points you get a certain amount of upgrade points. And you should put all league automation on automatic so that you just control your player, and have your players minutes either low or wait untill a player in your position gets injured so you get the oppurtunity to get minutes.
@@Igfer What I have personally used is the online wheels. If you are familiar with C4 pink slips series I typically do the same thing but in a reg season setting. I set a star limit to earn a spin. I earn stars and half stars each game. After 20 whole stars I earn a spin..You put whatever you want in the wheels but I just make premade packages of skills/skill points and build guys up etc...I even have suspensions inside the wheel in which I will suspend players etc..
@@Igfer For sake of 2k. Example strength/ condition has(speed accel, stamina vertical) … I have post package, shooter package, Ball Handler package, Slasher package. Each package is built of different attributes. When I land on one. I’m allowed to increase 10 attribute pts to anything in that package. Takes some setting up and lining out but I like it. Keeps me engaged.i also have the raw attributes thrown in the wheel as single upgrades like 3 pt, ball handle etc. you control everything for the most part.. you can widen the gap for how many stars you need, or drop how much you get for each upgrade.. literally just whatever you’d like.
Does anyone know how I can see how many points, assists, rebounds and some other stats ln the top right screen like in mycareer? I can't find it anywhere
Make it every time you score like 25 points or 5 assists or 7 rebounds if you get one of those you can upgrade any 3 attributes of your my player and 3 badges to your player.
