Well although I didn't find out about this from this video , since the method used here is the same I can easily say that it indeed does work. Recently I myself just felt sth so I had the urge to download the game but whatever I did I couldn't find the app in the Play Store and then was shocked to hear the news but luckily found this method and downloaded the game. Btw as someone who has never had any memberships or lots of gems while playing with my old account, this actually helped me for all the "pay gems to get quest" thingy but even still... I somewhat miss my old account even though it was not a very good one.
