I dunno how RU-vid works persay. But might label or note that in the title somewhere. Though I saw the photosentitive version first.. and now i'm watching it again here haha. Love it.
Is it okay to Flavor Wish’s “Copy any spell level 8 or lower” as “I hope this gadget I found does something good when I dump a few hundred volts in it”?
This show in general was truly amazing. I loved that they somewhat brought Static back in Young Justice. Wish he could have been more present though. I'd love to see DC do an all African cast movie like Black Panther for Static! I'd line up for that.
Step 1: Have a familiar Step 2: Find a Ring of Spell Storing Step 3: Store Tenser's Floating Disk on it. Step 4: Give the Ring of SP to your familiar and have they cast it. There you go friend. My Wizard use this to take short rests while my owl takes a hide on the Paladin shoulder xD
Virgil, as a D&D player himself, would appreciate that he can be playable. Also, I didn't know that the sorcerer cap stone would be so bad, but I'm glad the storm sorcerer is a pretty good choice. I'm saying this because, staying out, I want to play the thirteen classes to their cap stones. I know, it sounds stupid.
I would've recommended Wish for one reason only. It lets you cast any spell of level 8th or lower at 8th level and is the only way to cast wish while guaranteeing that it never burns out and you never suffer the exhaustion effects. This opens up almost every other spell in the game for whatever is the most thematic thing of your choosing.
You'd have to swap Intelligence for Wisdom, which is fine, considering INT is pretty bad if it's not a spellcasting modifier & you have another party member for nerd stuff
Got an interesting one from the Disney Cannon - Milo Thatch from "Atlantis: The Lost Empire". Milo, let's see.... Mapmaker and *Linguist!* who followed in his grandfather's footsteps, searching for Atlantis. Eventually, he finds it, and has to save it. So, what does Milo need - Needs to be intelligent - guy knows plenty of languages, both Modern and Ancient, including Atlantian in the written form. He also knows how machines work, and how to make them work. Also, did I forget to mention, Milo knows a *lot* of languages? It might be important to make sure he knows as many as possible in this build. Needs to be Charismatic - guy uses a lot of diplomacy, befriends the Chief's Daughter, rallied and then lead a rag-tag band of misfits (to say nothing about getting them to side with him) and Atlantian warriors in an effort to save the Princess, and *spoiler* becomes her consort. Needs to be Quick - Milo does have a knack for avoiding harm, mainly be being quick enough to dodge it. Is a Pretty Good Swimmer - There is a scene where Milo swims with Kida, which also involves him holding his breath for a while. So, he's in Good Shape at any rate, tying in with the above statement about him being quick. Not that physically strong - Milo is as skinny as a twig, when compared to the more muscular members of the group, especially compared to the Big Bad, who has a more physical build than Milo. Failed an Insight Check - Doesn't seem to realize just how interested in money the rest are, until things go bad when the group's leader's true motives are revealed to Milo.
Let's head out to the ends of the 'verse with some Firefly builds. River Tam and Malcolm Reynolds in particular. Don't leave us Browncoats out in the black.
Some roses are white, Like the cliffs of Dover, Please cover Asta, The kid from Black Clover. PS: Thank you for covering Static Shock! I loved watching this show growing up. 👍
The Elemental Spell metamagic from the Class Feature Variants UA would fix some of the limits of spell choice in Sorcerer builds, Tulok. It lets you change the elemental damage of any spell that deals fire, cold, lightning, thunder, or acid damage. Turn Fireball into Lightningball, for example.
Ha, cool! Dont know if you know this but Virgil Hawkins actually plays D&D in yhe comics. Neat that he's being D&Dized. But you know who else you can D&Dize... 🤔 I think you know whom im gonna say. 1984s Conan the Barbarian, the movie version.
One of the things I love about 5E is that if you're not really feeling any of the ninth level spells, you can get away with just grabbing a lower level spell and upcasting it with your new slots. It's entirely viable!
Yo. Static is my favorite super hero. He's the reason I have dreds. Thanks so much for making Virgil. Making it harder for me when I start making my Pathfinder videos next month tho...
Taking some psychic damage spells like Mind Whip or Synaptic *Static* isn't *too* divergent from the source material if you just flavor it as electricity directly targeting nervous system. Hell, you can flavor other OOC spells as Justice League tech that you power up.
Episode #184 of the Fire Emblem stats: Virgil Hawkins. Static is an electricity user so he's a good fit as a reason user. In addition, he's a magnetism user that can fly, so flight and pretty much all weapons are strengths of his. His only weakness is in heavy armor because metal and lightning do not mix well with flesh. His dexterity and magic are his highest stats and nothing's low.
Hay one of my requests! Thanks Tolek. There are three other builds I would love to see. 1 classic WarGreymon (Digimon Adventures) 2. Hiei (YuYu Hakusho) 3. Kirito (Sword Art Online) That last one might be a little tricky considering how there are five different versions of Kirito (Sword Art Online Kirito, ALfheim Online Kirito, Gun Gale Online Kirito, Ordinal Scale Kirito, and Underworld Kirito.) I don't know if you would do only one build or do a build for all five in one video or do a build for each one in separate videos. Then again given how similar the original Sword Art Online Kirito, Ordinal Scale Kirito, and Underworld Kirito are the builds for those three would probably just be the same. So you probably would stick with original SAO Kirito over the other two. I just would really love to see a bill for Katie toe for D&D. And a build for the first two on my list as well.
Guessing before I watch Variant human, storm sorcerer to level 20. I honestly cant think of anything else you'd need, Static is a simple guy in the grand scheme of things.
For replacing the 20th level of Sorcerer, would Static be a Rogue or a Bard? Either gets the extra skill. 20th level is a bit late for Vicious Mockery, though I suppose the level could be folded in earlier?
"Forgot you existed all the time..." sounds like a Kahlan Amnell build is in the future... Side note I just got finished with the 11th book in the Sword of Truth series, and I've been toying with how to make her and Richard. *edit 1 misspelled name *edit 2 clarified who I wanted to make.
@@Roseknight888 I agree the likelihood of her being made is slim. Because a confessor is born with her power, I think she would need to go to at least lvl 3 as a sorcerer for the hold person spell and thunderwave cantrip. Or if one wanted to add a little flavor I could see her as a sword bard, get TW, HP, Zone of Truth, and have sword skills.
Hey Tulok, I don't know if you take Suggestions but I think Talion from the recent Middle Earth games could be really interesting. I could see it as perhaps a Monster Slayer ranger combined with an echo knight.
Flashing light warning peeps! Epilepsy warning , really this one may need to be warned altogether, not even done watching it X_X 4:02-4:04 4:13-4:15 4:58-4:03 5:12-5:17 5:40-5:48 5:52-6:04 6:38-:645 7:18-7:27 7:48-7:51 7:58-8:03 Feel free to ad to this, was just doing this during my lunch break X_X gotta head back to work
First love watching your videos, they're helpful when I had ideas for characters and NPCs for my campaign. If it's alright could I request making a Mugen from Samurai Champloo build?
I don't know if you read this, uhh you don't really have to. I saw your hot take on EXP to Level 3. I don't watch these builds to play the characters, but to learn the skills and abilities that characters can have. I'm mostly waiting on ways to light my fists ablaze in lightning so I'm thinking path of Zealot Barb with some Unarmed fighter mixed in just to go wild. I'm just waiting on a campaign that wants to actually see someone run a half elf like that. (yes a half elf, not to be any character or to power game, but to enjoy what I wanna do as some outsider that can be awkward.)
I wish there was two levels in Cleric for this. Storm Cleric can max out a source of Lightning or Thunder damage once per long rest with its Channel Divinity
I have one question. do you think it is better to go Monk first then storm sorcerer or storm sorcerer then Monk and which monk subclass do you think would be better for something that is clearly too booming to hide? I was thinking Way of the Drunken Master as a more hit and run fighter.
Surprised you didn't make a joke on his name. Also, you maybe should've added some technomagic from the Modern Magic UA, because Virgil can interact with tech. He can power devices and read off info from discs.
I suppose if one wanted to stretch the flavor taking Power Word Kill at nine level could be that big burst he used on the Shadow man in season one. I remeber it drained Static very much to used and was just a blast of energy.
He gains power from a magic weapon he pulled from a gods corpse. It can change into other weapons, as well as allowing him to make tentacles and fly. Screams Hexblade/pact of the blade to me
