Great demonstration skill! I have a couple of questions. First, when I want to play jumble cards, I don’t necessarily need to play the highest card first, correct? For example, I can play some pairs, 7, 7, instead of playing a 12 first? Secondly, if I save the jumble cards at last, the winner should be the person who has the lowest numbers individually, instead of being able to defend, correct? For example, I save 4,5,6 at last. My opponent should not defend because these three cards are the final cards of the round. She should have each number less than my number individually, right?
Great questions! 1) Yes, you don’t have to play the highest card in your hand first if you would rather do a jumbo attack, in fact that is half of the strategy and appeal of doing a jumbo attack. It’s a great opportunity to clear out your hand if less than helpful mid level cards. 2) In the rules they state that you can’t end a round on a jumbo attack. You must end on a single card where you compare which player has the lowest card. Because yes, otherwise it’s very difficult to determine who should win the round.
I read up on Trumps - looks like there are certainly elements incorporated here. A lot of game companies seem to have become masters of taking old card games and tweaking a few details and selling it as a new game. That said - I like what they did! :)
I bought this game for our homeschool thinking it was a word game. Obviously my fault for not doing enough research. It’ll be fun and still useful , but it’s much more of a math game for younger kids than an English and spelling game for my grade 2. Looking forward to playing it, though. Thanks for the explanation!
Hah, one can be excused for some confusion based on the name! I really do enjoy this game though - there's much more strategy than there might seem at first glance. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
