Heard your review of this on the Dice Tower Board Game Smorgasbord and ordered it right away. I don't have any other roll and writes in my collection so this seemed like a good introduction for both me and my 5-year-old daughter. Thanks for the recommendation!
Oh I’m so glad to hear this! It’s really unique to find a roll and write that works for such a young age. We have so many games but this is becoming one of our most-played because my youngest two kids enjoy it so much. I hope it’s well-loved in your house!
Hmm... this game has me in a bit of a quandary. It looks a little advanced for some of my smaller relatives, although your five year old daughter(?) seems able to manage it with no problems. Mind you, it isn't expensive, so even if it doesn't work with the kids, it won't break the bank, and maybe some adults would enjoy an easier version of the Clever games? Would you ever think of pulling this one out if you had an all adult group, and just wanted a quick game of something on the spur of the moment? Super video as always there GLAM; payday on Tuesday for me, and after seeing last night's GameNight video, I'm buying MLEM Space Agency. It looks like a fantastic game!
It's not as advanced as you think! I was surprised by how well my daughter did with just a little bit of a learning curve for her first play through. However, I think the graphics are the one thing holding it back from an adult game night. It's definitely geared for kids. You could do it but it's kind of like a Catan Junior situation - game play is great but it's very clearly geared for kids. With adults I would go for Qwixx or Super Mega Lucky Box. And thanks for the hot tip about MLEM Space Agency! Reiner Knizia plus a cats in outer space theme? And push your luck dice? Sign me up!!
