How to play the new Firefight CORRECTLY 

My one complaint so far with Infinite's Firefight is that I wish there was a true official way to play endlessly like in past titles. Other than that, it's absolutely phenomenal and I'm gonna lose countless hours to this for sure.

On maps that have Warthogs, USE IT! The turret is hilariously OP into everything that isn't a Hunter or a big boss enemy. Try to go for the Repair Field equipment each round, as well, to constantly keep it healthy because you only get one vehicle spawn per match.

This mode is just nonstop carnage, you gotta love it

One thing to note the Grappleshot will always re equip after you use a picked up item like the regen. Its a base trait so you always have it.

Man this firefight gotta be the best of the series for real

another thing I'd like to add for the Needler is that its a pretty good boss and Hunter killer. It was very useful back in the campaign especially during the House of Reckoning mission

This is actually my favorite rendition of firefight, had an absolute blast last night and the game ran very very smoothly on series s Props to the team at 343

In normal firefight at least, all equipment is infinite like the grapple. You can get a ton of pancake kills spamming repulsor

Once you use the repair field your grapple comes back!

Loving the tips. Managed to get perfects with similar methods. One more tip. If all the enemies are in the hill and teammates are down spam grenades (not spikes) to clear out and get a high multi kill.

I really want to see a legendary version of firefight, but only if the xp earned (for career rank) is exponentially increased so that it's actually worth it to play on such a high difficulty

The regeneration field is actually extremely op. It even ressurects people. If they die. Super nice for a clutch save when its needed

Honesty I though the hill aspect of firefight was going to be alot more painfull. but playing it myself it really does it it a bit more dynamic and fun!

I always grab the Barrier Shield (whatever it's called) when I find it. It's unlimited as well, and has saved me and my team so many times.

A few tips for the more harder modes (Heroic & Legendary) that I find helps - Try to get a fireteam you can communicate with. - Try give each player a role: Hill Defenders, Supporter & Phantom killer - when 3 players are down, it's better to give up the hill than end the game by dying as last standing - Try to destroy phantoms (Especially boss ones) ASAP: Equip a SPNKR, Hammer or Hydra + Plasma Grenade and try to shoot down the phantom before it can drop off the units. - Always have a Dynamo on hand, it can help pull you out of hairy situations without risking constantly getting shot at. - Take advantage of warhogs and repair field. These always respawn each wave and should be used each wave. - For support / Defenders, Have a precision gun & a plasma gun, ideally a BR + stalker / plasma pistol to help take down the elites and shielded brutes easier

The repulser has been infinite uses for me whenever i grab it. Same with the dropshield and the thruster.

Good vid. I appreciate the tips. Having a precision primary is an absolute must. I'd also add that grav hammer pickups can be pretty OP at times.

I like to have a pulse carbine as my secondary to drop the shields of elites and other shielded enemies quickly

Had a blast playing yesterday. Glad we finally have firefight, I can still remember my disappointment on launch....

I still think BtB is better to rank up, as I get roughly 3-5k score per game, occasionally you get that god lobby and drop 6/7k score, BtB is 1.8x xp, so 15 minutes for a btb match I get about 8k with the xp boost, and 15min firefight 4k score average.

From my experience, I think the biggest tip I can give to new players is to prioritize staying alive. I've never lost a game because the AI beat us in points, but I can't tell you how many games I've lost that we should've won because the last guy alive tried to go for enemies and the hill when they really shouldn't have. It doesn't matter if your team reached 3 or more points, if your team gets wiped out, you automatically lose. If you run away from the hill and hide, you'll live. Sure, you might surrender a point to the enemy, but you'll at least get another chance for the next round.

The repulsor is great for pancaking fodder, just keep slamming them into walls and you can save yourself a headache

Quick changes for you. Repulsors, thruster, and drop shields are all infinite. Overshield, Camo, repair field, those are all one offs.

The grav hammer with an overshield makes you a group clearing machine

Welp thanks for the tips. Now I'm off to boot the game up and try my 1st firefight match in ages.

The Repulsor is infinite. I use it because the skirmishers and dyno grenade combo can be deadly. Plus, I get the pancake medal and I'm able to push everyone out of the hill.

I hate the commando but I think its the best because it drops often and can technically kill a lot of weak enemies the fastest. Also dynamo grenades are the best grenade

which maps have a ghost? I've never seen someone use one.

I would disagree with "get as much hilltime as possible" idea. Really only 1 person needs to be in the hill. If everyone is communicating, have the other 3 running arround killing enemies before they all join up at the hill. Waaaay more safe way of playing as a team.

Is heroic worth it to play instead of normal for xp?

As cool as koth is I knew from the first match that I’d much rather the legacy gamemode as the hill forces you to stay in one area so that you can get a good score. A person with 28k damage wont score as high as a person with roughly 22k who stayed on the hill the entire game. Which I know that PvE isn’t a place to sweat, but wouldn’t you want your offense score to mirror your defense?
