Marty I must really thank you. I’ve been playing guitar for long time but wasn’t going anywhere with it. I know all chords and change quite fluently, but just couldn’t play whole songs. Until I found you my friend. Your teaching is easy and I couldn’t sing. Or more to the point to shy. Somehow I find songs much easier played same way you do and just going for it now really opened up. Basically I tried to hard to play songs exactly like the real versions and tried to sing at same time but just didn’t happen. I gave up for three years so down with myself. One day on RU-vid you appeared and that was all it needed your vids and way you play and teach. Thank you again Marty for helping with my confidence. Best wishes to you from England
That's great Barry. Thank you soo much for your kind note. It's ones like these that keep me going. I am happy to help in your playing and am also happy to hear you are gaining confidence. Good luck to you my friend and Take care to you and yours.
Totally understand and agree with your comments Barry. Marty is one of the best teachers for novice guitarists like myself. He really helps to open up my ability to sing and play together! Thank you Marty!! Glad your feeling better.
barry. same for me, i never imagined i could even sing backup lines, let alone while playing. It was marty that showed me how even i could perform a whole song vocally and play guitar at the same time. After a few of these i started making it more about doing the song as me and not as the original bands, which was a giant leap. Making the song yours is the fastest way to learn them and get better. Trying to sound like the legends that originally did them only leads to an impossible to reach standard that just frustrates you. Thx marty for putting these out for us
Bob Seger is my childhood idle. Even these days, I have a job that requires weeks of travel time after time again. So often I catch myself singing his songs to myself. Turn the page, Travelin man, In your time. But my favorite is Someday, just a short 2 min song but it's beautiful! Thank you for the chords to help me along! I've subscribed and encouraging my twin brother to do the same:)
Thanx lucas. I'm glad you like my channel. I am also a big Seger fan, he has soon many great tunes. I will keep your fave in mind for a possible future project. Thanx for tuning in. Hey, I'm trying to reach 100k subscribers so please spread the word about my channel, it would be greatly appreciated, thanx
Awesome job bro I’ve been working on that song for a while but this is the first time I saw you do the lesson on it you make life look easy only problem I have is with strumming maybe a little more coaching on the strumming would really help me out I appreciate it. Thank you again

The strumming is hard to catch from the video. Can you explain it to me? ( like up up down up, or something like that, or with arrows) would be really helpful. Thanks
Hi Marty, I'll have to admit that I watch your videos as much to hear you play and sing, as i do to learn the songs myself. Anyways, another great video. I've learned the song on harmonica. Thanks for sharing. Joel

Marty, awesome video to learn by. Thank you for presenting so simply, and fully. If you or anyone can recommend a single song, simple chords, easy strum, easy lyrics to strum to in order to get my brain able to handle singing with guitar. I do both like I dance, with two left feet. Maybe Turn The Page is it. But I am open to ideas. I need to break thru.

I love your voice and your way of playing the guitar. I'm already your number one fan. A hug and a kiss my beautiful friend. greetings from El Salvador.
Hope your spring is going great Marty. Love your videos. Could you do "lost you anyway" by Toby kieth? It's not really county. It's more blues. What do you think?
it would be super helpful for beginners if you could detail your strumming patterns ...ie DU DU UD etc. then tell how hard of softly you are strumming when.
Dude, you must have 50 of my favorite songs up there. Awesome Selection of songs!! Please make a video for Man of Constant Sorrow in the style of Brother Where Art Though. Thanks for what you're doing. Your Channel is Awesome!!!

I really love your teaching techniques and your songs. I have made previous comment that due to my eyes I am not able to follow your hand movement for chord progression. Is there any way or place you can recommend chord progression so I can better follow along?
I did see that and am sorry for my late reply, I'm not set up to magnify the video around my hands and I know the chord progression slightly changes, In the settings wheel in the lower right corner of the video you can slow it down a bit, maybe that would help you until you get comfortable with the chords. I hope this helps and thanx for reaching out. Take care and good luck
Hello Mr.Marty, how are you? May I pls request you for 'Winner in you'- Don Williams and Keith Urban's 'Parallel Line', thanks a ton😊 you have a wonderful collection of tunes

Another great song Marty, it's one I've been wanting to learn. Got no excuse now eh! Do you do a song by Alan Jackson called Remember When? It's my wife's favorite song. If you do play it could you put it up sometime. I'd like to learn that one too.John
Thanx Johnny. I don't know that song off the top of my head, but I will definitely put it on my list of to do's for a future possible project. Thanx again for dropping me a line, Good luck my brother, take care
