Another tip for using zhao is that he has a relatively long basic attack animation, so after beginning your basic attack, you can shield through the attack animation and take virtually no damage.

GREAT VID AS ALWAYS! Fun fact: when using basic attack you can shield during it and it's super annoying dealing with people who always shields up while moving toward you.
One thing that encounters needs to fix is when Zhao(or any character)uses a grapple move *noob* can use his grab attack mid grapple and that’s pretty annoying!
zhao is amazing but i like charlemagne fiona and walter way more because i cant really use the E and people keep escaping my ult also im excited for the discord server

the one con i feel zhao has is that he struggles immensely to kill a fiona (commonly agreed to be the second best character right now), also you can side dash (side dash gives invincibility) through zhao's m1 to dodge it although having high ping can screw with that. (good vid btw!)
If the Zhao player is good they will never let you leave no matter what you do. Trust me I have fought good Zhaos and no matter what direction you run they will always follow along. Also who are the higher knockback characters you speak of?
@@MonoIsHere things like construct, senthe, seth, and maybe even walter and ryan. those characters can also hit him away when he tries to chase. but i'm only 2k mmr so i'm open to any insight. great vid as always btw
@@FWS_Sinister Ah okay i see what you mean, Zhao can zone out those characters for the most part, he can use his special to get his ult and stack damage, after that he can just ult them. Its sorta hard to do keeping them just barely out of range but it can happen. Im so happy you enjoy my content thank you :D
@@MonoIsHere true, but rushdown characters are prob his worst matchup who dodge until you get punished at low stamina, tho i admit his special hitbox is long and quick and basically impossible to fully dodge. and the ability to block while using basic is good for close quarters, although less effective against rushdowns. gunso and senthe's specials might also challenge his zoning. PS: i think hamza is sort of underrated cause ive seen some good hamzas zoning, and his basic has big charge for his ult that basically makes him invincible, and his unique ability is... something unique, to say the least, and some of your sage wisdom on that would be a nice vid
Amazing video, I usually play Zhao or Seth, and rarely lose. Although, in my opinion I do think Seth is the best character in the game. Every move he has can stack ridiculous amounts of damage in a short move of time, and, unlike most characters, can use his own damage to his advantage in the game. Also, I have a prediction your channel is going to blow up soon. You post the highest quality Encounters videos I have seen, and you deserve way more subscribers than you already have. Also, I know other people have recommended it, but maybe you should do a livestream with fans! I think that they, and myself, would greatly appreciate some gameplay with you! Nice guide, as always.
Yeah! I think both Zhao and Seth are super strong. I feel like Seth tends to struggle a bit more against people with ranged attacks since he is so close ranged. Also in terms of live streaming, it's 100% doable it's just the fact that I can't commit to doing it consistently
