Very good question! I never level up the support since I find it that it gives much more value to give it to the adc/jgl/top, in that order of preference. Simply because these roles have way more impact. I will only level up the support if he is ahead and playing a carry support, like xerath or vel'koz for example.

@@sigwilkatI dont think thats a good idea since zilean's passive also gives XP to yourself. generally you should use it as often as possible

@@MaZe741 I disagree, I'd rather wait an extra 30sec to lvl up and give exp to the carries than lvl up and give exp to the nearest ally even and their level up won't mean a thing.

Hey there! It's very hard to cover all the things in 1 comment, but I will try my best. In terms of runes, Aery is best because you can give a shield and do consistent dmg with it both as solo laner and support. (Glacial's only restriction is you have to hit the double Q) As for the build, any role, it doesn't really matter, it's purely preference. The best stat on Zilean is Ability Haste, so support items are always good. For your abilities always put 3 points into Q, then, if you are support you can max E, as you will not need Q to wave clear, however if you are on a solo lane, Q max would be better to push and roam. The most important factor on Zilean is your ability to assist your team. You do not need to have a cs lead, or lvl lead, as long as you follow the team calls and your team you should be fine most of the time! Your R and E are one of the most broken abilities in the game, so it's important you know when to use them and on who! All in all these 2 abilities make Zilean super broken. Now all of this is just purely info. If you're struggling to make the right calls I'd suggest the following options: 1) watching a few of your VOD's (W or L) and only focus on what you do and could do better. 2) Watch youtube guides about laning/macro/tf/positioning and stuff like that. 3) Find a streamer you like to watch, and see what decisions they do LIVE to slowly adapt to the situations yourself and memorize it.
