I like this chick! I'm not that much into the fashion and modelling world yet to me she approaches it more like something I would like to call "the art of sculpting with your own body". Some of the techniques she lays out actually remind me alot of how the classical Greek and Renaissance sculptors would treat representing the human form. Very cool!
.....fuck me! My first ever comment that gets pinned by the uploader and I have this little (not entirely internal) celebration with myself upon seeing it but then go in and edit my comment because I know see I forgot an article and with that I find out that that apparantly unpins your comment... and now I'm actually writing a follow-up comment about that which probably makes me look *really* desperate! But fuck it!... Sorelle Amore I would like it very much if you want to pin my comment again if you happen to see this. I *promise* I'm not actually desperate but I was very honoured actually so it was not my intention to undo it! 😜 But whatever happens: great video once again! And I don't know if you are also or ever have been a professional model but your beauty could never be a match to your charisma and personality which I think of as not only a great quality in models and celebrities but for any human being really! And that is not to say that you aren't pleasent to look at because you definetely are! 😄
honestly whenever other people take photos of me I generally hate the photos that come out, I'm so much more satisfied using the timer or voice activation, that way I have complete control and I can take as many photos as I want until I get good ones!
As a chubby guy, who did school photography for awhile: If you're chubby or fat, lean forward some while keeping your back straight, keep your chin down and the camera level with your eyes. Turn your nose slightly towards where ever the most light is coming from and tilt the head very slightly the other direction. You're welcome.

This is the first Sorelle video I’ve watched, and I was extremely delighted to see this. The spectrum of beauty is much wider than is usually portrayed in popular media.
You put the message across in a funny and light-hearted manner BUT the message and tips are well received. Thank you so much, I actually paused your video a few times to try out some of the poses. I also like you insert some very diverse photos as examples, it shows a good posture and pose makes a great difference, regardless of the shape and sizes of your body. I am gonna try out some of these on my holiday starting tomorrow!
I’m not a photographer, I don’t photoshop, I don’t travel as much as you, I’m not really interested in anything you do, but your energy and positivity and “down-to-earthiness” is soooo good and really helping me through not-so-splendid times. Officially your fan
There Were No Gas Chambers And you seem like you just can’t mind your fucking business so what’s with that ? I could make unwanted comments about every part of your life but I don’t feel the need to be all up fat-people-I-know-nothing-about’s ass
Thank you for reminding me that photography is art! It is why I grew up so fascinated with taking photos, mostly of me. However I grew up to somehow believe it was a self-centred thing to do. As well as the frustration of wanting to take photos of myself but getting my boyfriend or strangers to take them and they didn't capture the correct essence, composition, or general artsiness I was thinking in my head. It's not right for me to do that to others then wonder why I get frustrated or feel like I can never look good in photography. Thankfully there is likeminded people like you that inspire me to look beyond that and take my hobby into my own hands. No more instagram-boyfies! Hahah. Thank you for the tips xx
Few people can compose a photo & take it at the perfect moment. No one wants to intentionally take bad photos. Face facts, some of us are not photogenic. I know I'm not photogenic, but I never considered blaming it on another's lack of ability to capture my essense or beauty.
I'm a very shy person To take pictures in front of people And that's why I always feel awkward to take pictures in front of people And I always get bad pictures Even when I was looking pretty
i needed this, once had a photographer shout at me saying he didnt understand how someone so pretty always manages to mess up all her pictures,,, cameras are my weakness lol
I clicked in fearing that it would be another one of those people who feel a little too good about themselves XD But you are so lovely and charming I love you!!!
04:16 - Fake laughing works! But to make it really work, I like to laugh with some salad. Try different vegetables, forks, arm angles - there are so many things you can do with a really funny salad.
Ok only a minute in and had to say you are so funny!! And beautiful. And smart and energetic!! Haha thank u for making these videos. This is the second one I have seen other was the Tim Ferris habits (I asked if u spoke that fast or if video was sped up. Sorry again for that looking back that could had been looked as a put down question. Anyways you rock girl!)
At first I was like is she on crack 🤷🏼♀️😂 Then I just naturally felt like “hey, she’s pretty cool!” We all shine in our own way & she’s just a happy soul. We need more people like her walking around! 🤗
I really like your take on making your body look more like art in photos rather than just using a typical pose. I have a passion for movement so if I see a cool setting, I use different moves that put myself in a more elongated position for a neat shot :)
I take a lot of shots of my friends and or sister if they ask me to take a photo of them and it really annoys me when I tell them to do the same but they only take 3-4 shots of me, making sure i’m on focus and nothing really turns out nice bc on those few shots i happen to look awkward and also, I’m not the one that gets pretty photo just in one shot or any random shot. Idk if it’s just my face or they just lazy and/or don’t wanna take photo of me coz i’m not pretty. It sometimes makes me sad. Don’t mind me. Just saying for those who can relate haha. Let’s just work hard and buy our own equipments and cameras to take our own photo. Tho they may not be as gorgeous as we want them to be ‘cause like me, you’re probly also shy. Lol
Maine J sis can relate, like if i snap photos of my friends the photos always turn out pretty, i put all my efforts to snap that photo for them, but when it’s my turn they just took like 2- 3 photos and i look so awkward and not ready in any of those pics, when i told them to take my photos srsly they just be like “but that’s pretty good and bla bla blahhh”
Omfg same, when me and my friends go out we usually have a time to take photos of each other but when it's my turn they only take ONE FUCKING PHOTO, like I put all of my effort on searching for the best angle to take the photo of my friend and then they just stand up in front of me and take the photo like that
Trueeeeee i feel youuuu!!!as in gabyan na ganyannnn!!!gaganda ng kuha ko tas panget ng kuha nila sakin(or baka nga ako lng tlga ang panget ) huhuhuhu bat ganunnnn???delete ko nalang laht tas ang ko ti nila kumuha while ako kuha dyan kuha don;!!!!!
one more tip for photographers! crack a joke so your model could laugh and snap away, the split second before and after the smile has the most natural smile that a person can give! tip from Peter Hurley.
So people know, why the thing with moving your chin forward and down works, is to actually create a slight shadow under your chin. Because the skin under your chin is really reflective of light. So, by slightly shading that area, you help add depth to the shot, also, makes your neck look a bit longer.
I have had a double chin my entire life. It's genetic I suppose. Even when I weighed 118 pounds it was there. For me tilting the chineven slight causes it to appear. My best angle is when the camera is a little higher. What suggestions do you have for someone like me? I hate having photos taken.
S Brown best way to explain is forehead forward chin up and forward a little rather then trying to do chin forward only, you want the whole face forward just a little, your wanting to create tighter skin to help create that sharp line and shadow contrast your looking for. It's similar to doing on the side its bring the ear forward towards the camera just a tad, tightens the skin gives that great contrast line.
Lol "give the boyfriends of instagram a break". Yeah, I always get so frustrated when I don't get the perfect shot within a few pictures, but my boyfriend gets even more frustrated haha. I think I'll go watch your how to take travel photos solo video next!
One note from a previous fashion photographer, so yes there is a good side and a bad side of the face, which is a shock to many people. The face has a long side and a short side--really, and here is a way to see it. Take a pencil and hold in your teeth. then look at yourself in the mirror where it will be obvious. now that you know, then you shoot into the short side and turn the bigger side away from you, this will make it more symmetrical, you also want to place main light on short side and less light on the bigger side, thus also increasing the symmetrical appeal of the shot. Additionally, if you have a better lip, eye, or other issue place them on the far side will help. I hope this makes sense.
Johnny Ray's Digital Nomad Lifestyle hmmm so you’re saying if I have great eyes I should them on the far side? So point them towards the long, less great side? Is that what you’re saying there at the end? Lol
You made sense to me, but I already know what you’re talking about (I did lighting in the movies for 23 years and had a few gigs as a still photographer’s lighting assistant). I think there have been studies where test subjects perceive face symmetry as more aesthetically pleasing, but I didn’t know about the short side/large side, so thanks for that useful information.
I realized the other day that because I'm not very good at posing I've made "goofy traveler" my brand. Lots of silly pics running around, laughing, ridiculous poses. When you arent taking things too seriously curves and laugh lines matter less! But I will definitely be trying these because I am at heart an insta model wanna be 💗
4:54 seriously made me laugh out loud. Thank for you tips, I just turned $^ years old and I haate taking pictures now, all I see when I take photos are the flaws "my god when did my eyes get so baggy" "ugh is that what I seriously look? Good GOD!", "bleeh yikes" I am getting to the point where I avoid camera's and occasionally mirrors ha ha Thank you for the tips will try them except for keep my mouth slightly open ha haI I tried it and just looked like a dolt. Actually, I do the eyes wide open because I am that one person in every single photo who is blinking
I personally think I am good enough doing pose.. the problem is my friend rarely know how to take photo.. and selfie not always interesting.. so no i dont have alot of instragramable photograph.
Sorelle, good info but you need to slow down talking and with the images. You are worth watching for 20 minutes especially in this age of capturing ourselves as we want/need to be seen. Thanks
talked about having to take more pictures of myself with my sister earlier and we agreed that posing is damn hard. PERFECT TIMING once again. Thanks again & have an awesome time in Bali
Jyoti Tiwari keep your camera bit low at your knee level take some pics with diff heights below that u will find the best one for you. Take long shot and crop as u want u will look slim than the pic taken near to the camera I think so try it
This will be very helpful! My husband and I are going on a cruise in October, and we paid for the photo package. That means that we will have many photographers taking many photos of us. Thank you!
