How To | Pose Like a Model | Editorial vs. Commercial 

Editorial has emotion, the emotion is more aloof, you can squint your eyes a little so it looks like you're thinking of something, part your lips a little sometimes, just less big smiles, oh yeah, you can also look serene/dreamy. Smiley and flirty is very commercial. Editorial is curved back, Commercial is arched back like a men's magazine pose or like a lot of instagram models.

yeahh, I got that too ..... years ago there was an advert on TV for Croft Sherry - the catch line was "one instinctively knows when something is right " and that really is sooooo true .... instinct / gut feeling / sixth sense / that line has stayed with me all my life 😊

Just couple of tips... as per agent who told me about 95% of new models when I landed my first test session with a new model turning professional ... "Posing don't land agencies because posing is not modelings and modeling is not posing. Modelings is Fashion, be about fashion and you will land the agency". So the mindset you have to understand is one doesn't "know" poses, it's not really something you can pick up a book and be like OH I KNOW THAT ONE! Poses are created and defined within your body movement. You simply know how to create the body shape per that particular pose. So posing is not why you are not with an agency. Where's your portfolio showing your profiles and your headshots? THAT'S where the goal setting begins my friend. Lastly for this part... are you submitting EXACTLY as they ask or putting random images in the submission boxes? Have to check on that too.
